'Free parking in the premises, no English spoken but helpful staff. Good breakfast in the room included. Located outside the centre, close to the village of Kish. Quiet neighbourhood. A couple of good restaurants not too far away. The owner wanted us to pay upon arrival, claiming not to have received booking confirmation (this has happened often to us in Azerbaijan), but he accepted the proof of having already paid and confirmed reception of payment the next day.'

'I usually have a good tolerance for hotel rooms, but this one fell short of expectations. The bed mattress was absolutely terrible and you could feel every single spring on it. The sheets were stained with blood, and the water flow in the shower wasn't great. There's a good view of the city from the hotel location, but keep in mind that it's a 10-15 minute walk to the main road and half of it isn't lit if you're walking after dark. '
