Amazing⊠our stay was just what we needed. Everything you can think of was included at Peaceful Stay at Birds of a Feather Farm & Spa. The bed was super comfy, the towels were great, cannot say enough about this place. Highly recommend!
This place was absolutely adorable. The owner was kind and had so many suggestions in a book for us during our stay. This was the perfect size for my daughter and I during our trip. The place was clean and exactly what we needed. Thank you for everything!
The place was just as described and perfect for my stay while doing a workshop nearby. Host was easy to communicate with and helped me out as I forgot an item!
I arrived amidst freezing outdoor temperatures to a warm and cozy interior. I was visiting family and was concerned about snow and ice, Laurie had assured me that it would not be a problem and she was right. The unit was exactly as described in the ad. Laurie made sure that the snow was shoveled and I had no problems getting out in the morning! A wonderful, peaceful getaway!
We absolutely loved this stay. The space was gorgeous and cozy. Fully equipped kitchen we were able to cook dinner in. The location about 45 minutes from Stratton where we skied, but was well worth the drive. Would absolutely stay here again. Thanks again Laurie!
We stayed for two days in late October. Putting the address into Google Maps took us right to the driveway. The weather was marvelous; no snow, warm days, and pleasant evenings. You might call it a barn loft, but it was built new; it doesn't appear that it was ever used as a barn. The lower level is a spa for visiting customers. We did not sign up for any spa services. The loft was very clean, and filled with charming decor. It was, as Realtors say, "cozy," but we knew that from the description and photos. Upon entering the loft, we were welcomed by fresh flowers, complimentary chocolates, and Vermont maple syrup. It was a space skillfully designed and decorated with much warmth and care. The kitchen was well-supplied, the bed was comfortable, and there were plenty of towels and wash cloths. Laurie gave us recommendations on things to do and see, and places to eat. There was a stack of maps and brochures on Vermont sights, and a basket full of kid's games and books. We didn't watch t.v., but the Internet worked perfectly. One of the nicest parts of the visit was when we took the two lawn chairs out onto the lawn and relaxed in the shade of the trees, with the sun at our backs. Being dog-people, we would have liked to have had more contact with the dogs. "Molly" was very shy and didn't want to come near us, and the other one must have been in the house. There's a wide-open area to the north, and we didn't see the aurora borealis.
Birds of a feather farm was a lovely relaxing place for our 2 day stay in this part of Vermont.Location wise close to a lot of amenities and Beautiful Scenery. Our host Laurie was extremely helpful and gave us some great ideas of places to visit .Would definitely recommend Birds of a feather farm great ideas on place
We couldn't recommend this property enough! It was close to everything, extremely clean and quiet, and Laurie was a wonderfully kind and communicative host. We will definitely be staying again!
cozy, beautifully appointed spot in lovely Vermont countryside
Laurie's place is great, and she was wonderful--communicative, welcoming. The studio itself is terrific. Super cozy, wonderful bed (like, really wonderful), really perfect. I was on a James Turrell pilgrimage and had two reservations for his installations at MASS Moca, a 45 minute drive from the studio. I would very much love to come back and go hiking and spend more time. I highly recommend it!
We skied mt snow. Loved the cosy little place to kick back in the evening. It was clean, well kept w all the necessary amenities Laurie was very responsive. Thanks, hopefully back next year!!
My friends and I really enjoyed our stay in this sweet little getaway. The studio is cozy and nestled away in a quiet small town. Laurie gave us lots of recommendations for the area which were close & accessible (cafes, restaurants, museums, hikes/walks). I would highly recommend checking out the Dollhouse Museum in Bennington which is about 15 minutes away. Itâs one of a kind! Thank you so much!
Had a great stay. It was pretty easy to get up to the guest room and there were lots of helpful furnishings and suggestions. The person who slept on the fold-out bed was surprised how comfortable it was.
from the moment we arrived the place was perfect. Laurie has thought of everything you may need for your stay. place was clean and well decorated, bed was awesome, kitchen supplies were good and the outdoor area was perfect. We would stay there again anytime we are in the area. Vermont is a beautiful part of the world that everyone should experience at least once

While the property was nice, the long drive up to the house wasn't salted or plowed so we were unable to reach the destination for our first night. There was no prior warning that the road to get to the house was dirt and couldn't even accommodate a 4-wheel drive in the snow. We had to book a hotel at the last minute and were refused a refund from both the host and Vrbo. Would not recommend.
