I won’t be going to an Ibis again. No airco.
It was hot outside, granted, which is why we have airconditioning. But the airconditioning in the room we had was so weak, the in-room temp did not go lower than 29 degrees. This caused poor sleep. And that for EUR 150 per night. In addition it is not that close to the airport. Do yourself a favour and go to the Art Hotel Milano in Prato, it is 6mins further away, but cheaper and far more comfortable in terms of facilities and airconditioning.

Typical IBIS airport hotel
Typical predictable IBIS hotel. Clean rooms, decent beds. Efficiency and standardization are the keywords. Conveniently loated close to the airport, but not suitable for exploing Florence. Two minuspoints: water pressure for the shower was quite low (my room was on the 5th floor) and there were no power plugs near the bed. @IBIS: We need to charge our phones during the night, ànd need those phones as an alarm to wake-up in the morning. So we need power plugs near the nightstands!

I needed to change the day of arrival to 15th of May instead of 14th because of the late arrival of my flight and the policy of Ibis for check in... and they refused to do it. So, I ended up losing my money but knowing about a lack of interest on helping a client of that hotel.

One member of the staff was helpful. That is the only good thing. If you have an early flight and think you’re doing yourself a favour by staying at this airport hotel, you are wrong. Novotel has a free shuttle. This place does not. After spending €30 for a 10min ride from the city to the hotel, front desk advises the only way to get to the airport at 4am is a taxi, which turned out to be another €30 5-min ride. The TV does not work but for one channel. The front desk lady advises to arrange a taxi in advance but the front desk guy advises to wing it at 4am. I arranged it in advance. No car there at 4am and I asked the guy to call again and he wouldn’t do it. After a few words he gave in but this is not the service I expect. If I were to do this all over again, I’d just stay in the city or book a later flight out or Novotel. P.S. the taxi service did not have a taxi sign and came with an extra “wife” in the front seat for a 4am fare.

Disappointing....
Disappointing to find no restaurant facilities at this premises. I walked next door to the Novotel for a nice evening meal. The room was not cleaned to a good standard. Coffee stains from previous guest on bedside tables. Breakfast at best, average. My advice is book the Novotel next door. Only slightly dearer and the rooms are much cleaner!

The property served is ok for 1 night. As an airport hotel it was not helpful that they didnt provide any shuttle servces. Mainly fornthis reason id stay at a different property. The aircon didnt work properly and that made the room very hot. Otherwise, it was ok, the bed was fine and i slept ok.

Bien mais excentré.
Bon hôtel Ibis mais loin du centre-ville. l'arrêt de bus bus numéro 30 est à 6 minutes à pied pour se rendre à Florence. Car nous étions sans voiture. Mais c'est tout à fait réalisable et hôtel économique par rapport à la ville de Florence. Climatisation qui fonctionnait moyenne dans la chambre mais qui était suffisante pour faire face au 39 degrés extérieur.J'ai donné une carte à poster, à la réception qui n'est jamais arrivé jamais posté ?. Hôtel intéressant pour le prix en haute saison mais un peu loin . Bonne idée pour venir en voiture et la garer. Et pour visiter la Toscane.
