The location is wonderful and the breakfast was above what we expected. The front desk staff was always friendly and helpful. The only negative was asking for towels everyday, and no housekeeping for 6 days. I removed our towels, replaced with new ones, and took out daily trash. Also, extra charges for parking were high. Just seems unnecessary to charge over $20 a day for parking our car, especially when there was free parking right next to the hotel.
Honestly a little surprised by the high rating this property has on Expedia especially considering the premium rate they charge, mid April it was nearly $1600 CAD for 2 nights for a standard room. Great location and views, helpful staff but that was the only good thing about our stay here. Room felt very stale, dimly lit, and dated, my family was having sinus issues soon after entering the room. Appeared to have been a long while since a deep-clean had happened to the room. Shower in our room had no hot water, were given a room key for a different room on a different floor for showering (that room had different beds so couldnât just switch rooms.) Ended up cancelling the second night we were supposed to spend here, hotel staff and Expedia were helpful ensuring we received our refund for our second night.
The location is gray for walking to shops and restaurants. Rooms are old bathroom very small and toilet doesnât flush right needed to call plumber. Overpriced for old hotel needs updating
The suite we rented was clean but basic, no Kleenex, no paper towels in the kitchen, skimpy towels in the bathroom. The furniture was worn. I expected better for the money it cost us.
