Complete holiday home with an idyllic view of nature in Nordenau

After the opening of the Pape's holiday home (in Eslohe/Sauerland, holiday home 2897640) in 2019 and the overwhelming feedback from many enthusiastic holiday guests, we decided to open a second top-class holiday home in 2021. With a lot of commitment, joy and attention to detail, we have transformed the multi-generational house built in 1903 into a special place and, with a large portion of our own work. Within a year we have transformed it into a fairytale holiday home in the middle of nature near Winterberg, with a special focus on the little ones among us .

Now we are happy to be able to share the "Ferienhaus Grimme" in a unique idyllic location with you.

When we visit the holiday home with family or friends, we particularly appreciate the community under one roof, the unique view of the spa park and the spacious outdoor area with a large terrace, which invites you to barbecue, play but also to relax. In the adjacent spa park, located close to the forest, you will find a large, well-kept playground with a soccer field and a flat, long stream where you can splash, discover and build.

Far away from traffic, the Grimme holiday home is an ideal starting point for bicycle tours (MTB, e-bike, racing bike) and hikes through the idyllic and mountainous landscape. In the Kneipp basin at the Nesselbach (300m away in the Kurpark) you can let your soul and feet dangle afterwards. A small ski slope in the immediate vicinity (500 m) is ideal for sledging. Due to the immediate proximity to Altastenberg and Winterberg, there are also a large number of ski slopes to choose from in winter (see Skiliftkarussel Winterberg). During the rest of the year, the specially designed mountain bike trails in Winterberg (Winterberg Bike Park) and the surrounding area invite you to take on many sporting challenges. Nearby leisure activities also provide plenty of variety for young and old (including Astenkick, summer toboggan run, climbing park, Atta cave).

Location in Nordenau:
The driveway to the Grimme holiday home with its inner courtyard is traffic-calmed (Zone 30). The approx. 1000 m² outdoor area offers a large terrace with a fantastic view of the mountainous landscape, a large lawn, a sandpit, garden games, table tennis, plenty of seating, a large shelter and fireplace (wood available) and a large charcoal grill. The large tractor garage (approx. 100 m²) with a small workshop offers enough space for your bicycles or skis/snowboards.
There are numerous paths and trails in the area for MTB and racing cyclists (see komoot/ Sauerlandradweg/ Ruhrtalradweg, etc.). For motorcyclists, Nordenau is a perfect starting point for trips across the extensive, hilly Sauerland region.
Furnishing:
The house has 9 beds for a maximum of 18 people in 7 bedrooms (7x double bed; 2x bunk beds). Three travel cots for small children (120 cm x 60 cm) are also available. The sufficient number of washing facilities ensures that there is no need to queue in the morning (4 bathrooms with showers/toilets). A changing area is available on the 1st floor.
On the ground floor you will find a very well equipped kitchen, a common dining room area with an adjoining living room. In the dining room you can sit together comfortably in large groups, even the youngest find their own place at the dining table (4 children's high chairs). Opposite the lounges is the playroom (for young and old), which invites you to play table football and games (children's area). To relax you can use the sauna (sauna use and infusion free of charge) with a large relaxation room and enjoy the idyllic view of nature. Internet is available both in the house and in the garden.
The safety of the children is important to us, so the stair areas on the ground floor and on the 1st floor are equipped with fall protection.

Important note: In order to be able to offer future guests beautiful and well-kept accommodation, we would like to point out that excessive celebrations, bachelor parties, team trips, etc. are not permitted in the Grimme holiday home. Due to the quiet location, the general night's rest is to be observed. Please take this into account when booking to avoid inconveniences for both parties. For fire protection reasons, smoking and the use of candles/fire in the Sauerland half-timbered house are strictly prohibited! Unfortunately, pets are not allowed. The house must be left swept clean after your stay. We ask you to take this into account. Thanks very much! :-)
IMPORTANT: Please also note that a visitor's tax (climatic health resort) of €2.00 per person and per night will be levied on site by the municipality of Nordenau. Children under the age of 14 do not have to pay a fee. For this you will receive the SauerlandCard, which allows numerous discounts on site (outdoor pool, museum, amusement park, etc.).
