La Salamandrine, Charming 4-bedroom house, 3 shower rooms, 3 toilets, two of which are independent,. Located in a quiet area on the heights of Sarlat, pretty open view to the south on the hill and above Sarlat, on enclosed land of around 600 m². Downtown
400 meters away, historic center 600 meters away, easily accessible on foot either by a small shortened path. Then you can easily got to the famous Sarlat market every wednesday and saturday.
House of around 120 m² with all modern comforts, air conditioning in the living room and bedrooms, electric shutters in the living room, electric blinds for the sun on the terrace, American fridge with mirrors, 3 south-facing electric bay windows.
Pleasant stay full south on terrace and swimming pool.
Terraces around 100 m², beautiful garden.

Large and beautiful swimming pool 13 meters long by almost 6 wide, heated, facing south, without vis-à-vis with teak sunbathing. Outdoor hot water shower by the pool (solar). 1 floating big bag for the pool. Salt pool, gentle on the skin, does not sting the eyes unlike chlorine.

As a bonus, a 4th closed mezzanine bedroom (see photos) and. Limited ceiling height, ideal for children or teenagers.

Gezellig vakantiehuis.

Zeer gastvrije eigenaars, heel vriendelijk. We zijn laat toegekomen en er stond een mand voor ons klaar met lekkernijen van de regio. Heel geriefelijk vakantiehuis in een prachtige omgeving. Perfecte uitvalsbasis om de Dordogne te ontdekken.

A warm welcome and outstanding service in a relaxing setting

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this house in Sarlat. A few aspects really stood out to us:1. The welcome package – We felt genuinely welcomed thanks to a beautifully prepared basket filled with delicious treats. After a long and intensive journey, it was a truly thoughtful and much-appreciated gesture.2. The atmosphere in and around the house – The sense of calm and serenity gave us a real feeling of peace and relaxation. The house and its surroundings have a very soothing presence.3. The suggestions for local shops and restaurants – Although we were somewhat familiar with Sarlat as a city, we didn’t yet know the area around the house or the nearby facilities. The recommendations we received were incredibly helpful in getting oriented.4. Responsiveness and service – Things don’t always go perfectly, but the speed and care with which these things were handled made a big difference. Wonderful stay, despite the rain!

We loved this house and its location. It was perfect for our family's requirements. The photos on the listing do not do the property justice as it's even nicer in reality! My husband and I treated our grown up children and their partners to a week away and we all had a relaxing time. It rained a lot but we managed to make the most of the gaps in the weather to make use of the pool, hot tub, ping pong, etc. It was great to be able to stroll down the little path into Sarlat to explore the town, and visit restaurants, etc. It was great to be able to bring our dog. We all found it very comfortable and well equipped. Sophie is a very good communicator and it was good to know any questions would be answered quickly. We totally recommend this property for a lovely stay in the Dordogne and it's a great base for visiting beautiful châteaux, caves and splendid scenery.

Vi (min hustru og vores lille hund) havde en super dejlig ferie i Sarlat. Beliggenheden er utrolig god. Kun 5 minutters gang til byen, men helt uden støj fra biler eller naboer. Haven, udsigen og poolen er outstanding. Hver morgen (tidligt) kan man se luftballoner over byen. Tak til Sophie og Jean Yves for den flotte gave og dejlige frokost. We stayed during hot sunny times, really comfortable with air cons, big swimming pool and outside of space. Kitchen is with fully equipment with big fridge and freezer so easy to cook too. Sophie is easy to contact with local suggestions. We had a wonderful time, really recommended.

So Relaxing.

Lovely villa well decorated and equipped, clean and comfortable.(comfortable beds) Really appreciated the private foot path to Sarlat Center. 5min walk to the bakery to get fresh bread, groceries, access to bars and restaurants. The whole family loved the outside space, the vue from the garden, the football table, pool table and spa. Sophie is a very caring hostess and she is very quick to respond to any queries/ questions you may have. Will definitely consider returning to La Salamandrine as for me, the property ticked all the boxes. Also, because the region has so much to offer, one week was too short and there is so much more to do and to see.

The property was immaculate. Air con was welcome. Everything you could possibly need in terms of practicalities. Beautiful pool. The house is situated right on the edge of Sarlat so it is incredibly easy to get into town. I would 100% recommend this property. Un petit coin de paradis aux portes du centre historique

Un séjour au paradis , A 10min grand maxi de centre historique a pied par le petit chemin , cette location est très bien placée . Pas besoin de prendre la voiture pour descendre boire un café . Nous avons était très gâté par Étienne a notre arrivée : vins et produits locaux Sur place tout est présent pour les adultes et les enfants (spa, babyfoot, billard, ping pong ...). Sans compter l option "linge" ou l on arrive les lits sont faits et même les serviettes de piscine vous attendent sur la terrasse . Un grand confort. La piscine est immense et chauffée , exposée au soleil toute la journée . La vue de la terrasse sur les hauteurs de Sarlat illuminé de nuit est inoubliable . La maison possède 3 salles de bain ce qui n est pas négligeable quand on est nombreux. Toutes les literies sont de qualité . Contrairement à ce que j ai pu lire , nous adorons la chambre en bois dans l extension de la maison qui permet à nous parent de vivre un peu a l écart des enfants et d avoir un Acces direct à la terrasse et a la piscine des le réveil sans avoir à passer dans le salon ou la cuisine . Merci encore à Jean Yves et Étienne pour ce séjour magnifique .
