Located beach front on beautiful Longboat Key, this resort offers all the amenities of a large hotel with the privacy and seclusion that has Silver Sands guests returning each year. Great location and amenities. We thought the pool was nice and of course the beach was fantastic. The property manager was kind and very helpful. The room was clean and honestly had exactly what we needed, as we spent a majority of the time outside. I truly have no complaints.

This place was very functional and decently clean. We did not get any bites and nothing was broken or non-working inside. You don't book this place for the room...the best part is being STEPS away from a gorgeous crystal blue beach. The office staff was friendly and helpful. I had a positive experience here and it's located in a great centralized location near plenty of restaurants and shops.

We had a great time. Room was clean but a little small. We thought we would have an ocean view but did not. I’m not complaining though. Just a few short steps and the beach was right there. The host was very friendly, we misplaced one of our keys and she just gave us another one and told us to bring it back when you can, no hurry. There was not much of a kitchen so you couldn’t cook a meal.

Enjoying LBK

The Sliver Sands was a great place to stay. I had other family members on LBK so we would sleep and shower in our room and then spend the day with family. I would only like to see a lighted sign out front. I drove by the property several evenings because the Silver Sands sign wasn't visible at night.

This particular unit is tiny; just enough room for a double bed. There is a fridge and microwave, but no sink so actually cooking would be a challenge. One window--unopenable-- facing the parking lot. Someone has made a nice effort to decorate the room. The larger property has very nice beach access and the other units appear more attractive.

Good for the price.

We hadn't stayed on Longboat Key before. Not a big fan of that island. The hotel was old but very clean. The room was very small and the table and chairs in the room should be thrown out. A bit of money would make the place 100% better, but for what it was it wasn't bad. The bed was very uncomfortable sadly, but that's hotels sometimes. The staff was very nice and quick to fix issues.

Paradise Indeed

Silver Sands was such an amazing place to stay. Pool and Ocean steps away...I've personally never seen beauty like this shy of going to an Island in the Caribbean. The staff was amazing...Margaret...YOU were amazing!! The people staying there were super friendly...as were the locals. Super quiet, relaxing...just what I needed for my body and soul!! Will def be returning whenever I can!! A++++++++

Short on a few thing

Only had 1 fork. Would of been nice to have some plastic glasses for poolside refreshments. Beach longers were nice but umbrellas were only available at the office and the cheap. I got a new one from the office but it broke. Would have been nice if the umbrellas were commercial grade and positioned on the beach. Overall, we had a very nice stay.

It was a great little place. Perfect locations, with just enough amenities

The unit I stayed in had a few little glitches. The shower door was off the track, and little things like that. But maintenance was quick to offer to fix it. It didn't bother me, though, and the location was just perfect. The people were lovely too.I am looking forward to retuning. Its a great place, for the price, its really fabulous.

Great 2 day Escape!

First time using VRBO. Was pleasantly surprised! Our room was exceptional with everything we needed. Bed was comfortable and room was very clean. The Silver Sands resort was amazing, clean, and exceeded our expectations. My spouse of 40 years and I will definitely be back for a longer stay. The service was impeccable and the views of the sunsets on the Gulf of Mexico Beach were beyond words! Pool, shuffle board, and putt putt 9 hole course was well maintained and fun to enjoy. Area restaurants had some of the best seafood we have ever eaten, and we own a restaurant, so that is saying alot. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to be back soon. Thank you to all the staff for their amazing service and attention to detail!

The room photos were deceptive of size and lack of lighting. It felt like punishment and was very cramped. The room cleaning was good and essential due to dish washing in the sink and a hot plate. Compared to beach sides and windows and pools for others. Regardless, it was too expensive and not healthy to spend 3 nights stepping over luggage.

There is no view of the ocean all I had was a room. No place to buy food and I couldn't sleep well. The bed is on wheels and that was the only place to sit and relax. I was very disappointed 😞.

Great property with Pool, Beach and Parking!

This quiet place is a tremendous find! Clean, updated and easy to access, one soon learns that parking access on the west coast keys can be non existent at times, not here, there is plenty. The beach is beautiful and uncrowded. The sunsets are an added treat!! I will stay here again.
