Luxury by the Beach - Great for Families or Multiple Couples

Casa Pacifica is a large property with 2 houses (6 bedrooms), a large pool and a lot of outdoor space inside of a gated property. Your rental give you the entire property, both houses with 6 bedrooms in total.

This incredible property is in a prime location 200 yards from the stunning Playa Samara, one of best beaches in Costa Rica. This private property actually steps to two incredible beaches (Playa Samara and Playa Carrillo) and you are walking distance to the towns of Samara and Carrillo for a real taste of Costa Rican culture. This is a perfect place for an active family vacation or just a relaxing, casual getaway. We offer many more extras including 2 large kitchens (one in each house), kayaks, paddleboards, bikes, grills, 65" TV, dishwasher, washer/dryer. beach umbrellas, beach toys, cornhole, boardgames, and more.

The four-bedroom home has two masters and a great living area which opens up to the kitchen and a large covered terrace overlooking the pool. The smaller house is is only steps away, sharing the shared circular driveway and has an additional kitchen, living room and outdoor living spaces. The pool is surrounded by a lush garden, and you can expect to be visited by monkeys, iguanas, land-crabs, red-tailed squirrels and scores of other lizards and birds. Samara Beach is known to be one of the safest swimming beaches on the west coast of Costa Rica but is also great for surfing too.

Boats can pick you up right at the beach (200 yards up the road) for world-class sport-fishing, turtle & dolphin tours or just a tour of the beautiful coastline. Included with the house are two kayaks so that you can tour the safe waters or go visit Isla Chola and have and entire island to yourself. You can learn to surf in Samara and catch intermediate waves, and you are only 15 miles away from some of the top surfing breaks in the world.

This is one of the finest rentals in Samara. Our staff will ensure you have an amazing vacation. Wall-to-wall tile, quality linens, towels & large walk-in showers await you and housekeeping and security is included - all you have to do is enjoy yourself.

Security & Camera Disclosure: The entire property has walls and gates and just in case we do employ a nightly security guard. There are security cameras with motion detecting lights covering the 2 driveway entrances. There are no security cameras inside the house or anywhere by the back pool or shower areas. VRBO has a strong policy on how video content can be used.

The pool was great to come back to or start our morning yoga beside. The property management was great. Provided us with so many local options and made sure the check in process was smooth. Thank you for a wonderful stay at Casa Pacifica. The outdoor space was incredible. We especially enjoyed the pool, the iguanas, the birds and the tranquility. We loved taking the kayaks and paddle boards to the island for snorkelling and exploring. The beach on New Year's Eve had a spectacular display of fireworks. Great memories!

The house was great for a party of 10. Loved the vibe in Samara. It was very nice having The Hideaway Hotel about two doors down where we could grab breakfast, lunch, or dinner. I recommend renting a car and or golf cart to get to and from the town. Great time!

Well equipped and clean place with comfy beds. Lots of space for our group of 8. It was key to have a place to hang out in the heat of the afternoon. The location was great- had to drive to Samara (can only walk to town via the beach at low tide or on the road, which we weren’t comfortable doing). Samara beach was max 5 minutes walk. A very short drive to Carrillo beach, which was our favourite of the 5 beaches we visited. Easy day trip to Playa Guiones (Nosara). The Hideaway Hotel next door was really convenient if we wanted a meal or drink and didn’t want to drive anywhere. The entire booking and check in/out process was smooth and the property manager was available at all times.

Casa Pacifica was a dream! The property was clean, spacious, well-stocked, and comfortable. The location is ideal. It is close to the beach and a short drive into Sámara. It’s also about a two-minute drive to Playa Carillo.We thoroughly enjoyed the pool, outdoor games, and privacy. We were visited daily by birds, monkeys (like clockwork), and iguanas. Casa Pacifica was the destination for a family gathering for members from Florida, Maryland, and Pennsylvania, ages 2 and a half to 74. Hours were spent to gether enjoying the beautiful pool and backyard area. It gave us the opportunity to watch our grandson experience jumping and splashing with his uncles, who enjoyed helping him learn how to "go under". Then there was the wildlife! Iguanas, lizards, howling monkeys, butterflies, and birds! All provided us hours of nature watching! The walk to the beach was quick and easy, and I was able to get photos of the most beautiful sunset!The 2 houses provided plenty of space for the 10 of us. We played some of the games, our grandson was thrilled with the toys, and we read from some of the children's books every night. The kitchen and dining room were large enough to accommodate all of us, and we enjoyed a family cooking night, using the grill.When we didnt want to cook, the town of Samara was a short distance away for dinners on the beach, and multiple visits to Roots Bakery! And right next door was the Hideaway Hotel, easy to drop in for a meal. We greatly appreciated the maid service several times throughout the week. It truly helped with the "being on vacation" feeling!! We also took advantage of nearby excursions. The dolphin/ whale watch picked us up at the Hideaway and we boarded at the nearby beach. Thank you Paul, for providing us a beautiful place to create long-lasting family memories!!

Casa Pacifica was perfect for our family. Owner Paul gave us so much helpful information before the trip and Samara Rental employee Jair was there when we arrived to make sure everything was just right. We did not use the casita, as the seven of us fit very nicely in the big house. Beds were comfortable, we enjoyed preparing meals in the well equipped kitchen and eating around the big table. The pool and yard are beautiful, and we enjoyed hearing the howler monkeys every day. Our favorite beach was Playa Carillo, which was very near, always nearly empty and absolutely gorgeous. We love small towns and Samara was a joy to explore. Thank you so very much, Paul, for sharing your home with us. We made some great memories !

The property was well taken care of. Large kitchen and family room to gather and view tv together. The air conditioning units kept the house cool as long as we kept them running. Our family of 8 adults enjoyed the home, the pool, the bikes, and the kayaks.

Fabulous stay in Samara

We really loved our stay at this house in Samara. The pool was wonderful and we absolutely loved watching the monkeys climb through the trees every afternoon. The house is about a 3 minute walk down the path to Samara beach. It was a pretty beach and we enjoyed watching the horses show up and take a dip in the ocean in the mornings. It's not the best beach for swimming though because it's pretty rocky. Definitely bring water shoes! However, Carillo beach is just a few minute drive away and was great for swimming.The house includes two paddle boards and two kayaks but we unfortunately never got around to using them. Samara Rentals was great to work with for letting us into the property and handling any questions. They also handled our rental car booking for us with National and that worked out great.There's a very friendly guard (Mino) that stays on site in a guard building overnight but we never felt like we needed a guard as the house and area felt very safe.The house was clean and comfortable (especially the two primary bedrooms in the main house) and we would definitely stay here again if we return to Samara.

Good lay out for families

We stayed at Casa Pacifico for 6 nights during a trip to Samara, our group was three families 6 adults and seven kids ranging from age 6-16. Sadly the pool was very dirty when we arrived and we notified the property management company and it took two more days until the pool cleaners arrived to make it right. The listing says house keeping is provided which is a treat, they come every three days but did not change any linens or provide fresh towels as we expected. It was the minimal clean of floors swept and bathrooms tidied we were really hoping for clean towels and sheets after three days of the heat a fresh set of linens would have been nice. The night guard was fantastic he was very polite. The yard had not been maintained in some time it appeared when we arrived and a crew came during the middle of our stay without being warned by the property manager. It would have been nice if that was done before we arrived or at least had we had a heads up. There is quite a lot of road noise at this property it is very close to the main road. And the beds were really really hard, our group had two rent a hotel room next door during our stay because the beds in the casita were so uncomfortable. I will say the two main beds in the big house were ok but the smaller bedrooms were just as bad as the casita. We have traveled a lot and sadly these were some of the worst beds we have found in our Central America stays.On the good side the house was well stocked with laundry soap, boogie bo

Great getaway

We had a group of 14 stay at Casa Pacifica and had a wonderful time! The house is a short walk to Samara beach and a short drive to Playa Carrillo, which was our favorite beach. We rented golf carts as the Vrbo was a drive to town, but we loved the location and never felt like we were missing out on the town. The kitchen was well stocked and we cooked for ourselves all week with no issues. The pool was just the right size, especially with the beach so near. We utilized the paddle boards and boogie boards in the shed. We saw several iguanas and birds on the property but never saw monkeys, only heard them. Communication was simple through WhatsApp and the rental company was responsive. I’d go back in a heartbeat!

Perfect location, the beautiful Playa Samara is a very short walk down the street. Ocean was beautiful, sunsets even prettier. We stayed for the week, and wished it could have been longer. Couldn’t be a better location and house arrangement for our family of 7 adults and 6 children. Lovely swimming pool, short walk to the beach, walk or drive to town, cafes and markets for everything. Our stay was great. Home and guest home are beautiful. Pool is great. Everything you need to enjoy yourself in Costa Rica :).

Great time despite the rain!

Tropical Storm Sara was the plus one for our group of nine but she didn't stop us from having a great time. House was clean and comfortable, and we had everything we needed to cook our meals right at the house when we didn't want to venture out for the night.

Super fun getaway

Really enjoyed the space for all 11 of us (ages6-45) It was perfect to have the extra casita for the kids and the pool was perfect! We loved how close we were to playa carillo and the little hotel next door was great - service, food, friendliness- all excellent! We booked shuttles through Samara rentals and it was a breeze. They were always ready and able to help. The washer/dryer was really helpful during the rainy days.
