If you're planning a small family vacation or a romantic getaway for two in downtown SLC, this newly renovated, brick home basement rental may be just what you're looking for! This cozy space, with uninterrupted access via its own private entrance, features a well-equipped kitchenette, an intimate dining table for two, and a very inviting living area with a large flatscreen TV. Outside, you're welcome to enjoy the hot tub and the large, grassy backyard (both are shared with the main house), perfect for the kids

For a number of shopping and dining options, the Sugar House area is located less than a mile from this home, offering fun breweries, sports bars, and chic cocktail spots. Just a few miles south, Holladay is home to a variety of restaurants, a supermarket, and a movie theater. And if you're visiting during the winter months, bring your skis and your snowboards and hit the slopes at Solitude or Brighton, less than 25 miles away.

Don’t stay in the basement
Space was clean, but dark. Serious fire hazard, only one exit. Windows are either too small or have bars on them to allow escape if doorway is blocked. Lots of noise from upstairs tenants. Refrigerator froze all my produce. Nice quiet neighborhood, no fear for vehicles or the property inside. Would not stay here again.

Didn't stay
I ended up not staying there first of all the reservation people said they couldn't find the reservation . They assured me that there was not reservation for this place . So I booked another place in Utah . Then the day I was supposed to go I was sick ! I took a covid test that morning and it was positive !!! I had a ear infection and head cold that flared up and my eardrum busted!!! So I am now trying to get my refund from them . Now I see that this place charged me too . Omg ! I am barley better and able to even respond to any thing .

Super Cozy
My friend, dog and I stayed at this basement level guest suite. Super clean and comfortable. Utilized the ultra clean hot tub as well which was perfect for relaxing after a hike. Awesome, well stocked kitchenette that I made some great tacos and pancakes out of. Water pressure in shower is very bad though. Everything else was great!

Great property BUT terrible management
I will start with how good and surprisingly nice the space is. Well decorated, thoughtful lay out and super cozy. Awesome kitchen and shower for the price! The one thing I will say about the space is the walls are a bit thin and you will hear the neighbor upstairs and they will hear you most likely. Also the second "bed" is not very comfortable so I see this space better for just one couple. As for the booking process - Be warned this is not an actual owner operated property but a management company called Vacasa. You will not have any actual contact with the person who owns the property and if you have any questions, big or small you will be directed to a phone number that is answered by someone who has no personal knowledge of the property beyond what is written in the description that you've already read. We had Covid protocol questions regarding the hot tub which is shared and no one actually answered our questions from Vacasa. The only time we were reached to, was when a representative from Vacasa asked us to wheel the trash cans on to the street for them. We asked if this was in our contract and they said it was not but just asking a favor to help them out even though they had a house cleaner coming that day. I would have felt ok with "helping out" if we actually had any true contact with any one. I fear this is the future of VRBO and Air B and B with management companies running the show and turning personal stay experiences into just money making ventures with little accountability. I wouldn't rent from a property linked to Vacasa again.

Quiet and friendly neighborhood
Initially it was very difficult for my wife and I to get ahold of anyone regarding an early check-in. The property itself was well kept and clean. We enjoyed our stay overall but ran into some issues when we requested to extend our stay 2 nights. We never found success in actually speaking with a live person in regards to extanding our stay and the questions we had about payment and availability. On the last night of our stay we had a gentleman stop by and claim he had booked and paid for a vacation beginning that night. We had also paid already for the exavr same night, so that house got double booked obviously. And this gentleman claimed he was unable to get ahold of a live person when reaching out to try and resolve this "double book" issue. But overall, we enjoyed our stay and would love to book another vacation in the near future at thjs home.
