Huijausta paratiisissa
Ihana paikka, mutta omistaja huijasi check outissa maksamaan majoituksen uudestaan: sanoi että kaikki varaukset maksetaan heillä vasta hotellilla ja koska netti toimii todella huonosti, ei asiaa voinut mitenkään tarkistaa, vaan on vain pakko luottaa mukavan oloiseen omistajaan. Maksoimme majoituksesta siis tuplasti eikä omistaja aio palauttaa rajoja useista lupauksistaan huolimatta! Harmi, koska paikka muuten on aivan paratiisi.

Rustic decor
Great location if you are seeking to get away from a busy lifestyle. Everything is in a rustic decor ans the natural pools from the rivers. Just be aware of the VERY SLOW service in the restaurant. It takes about 45min to an hour before you get your food. Avoind weekends as it can get busy, and during the day, there are several tour busses thata arrive to use the facilities.

It's worth the effort to get there.
A stay at this hotel is an interesting and educational experience. Ir'a a short walk to the Haitises National Park with its karst formations, rivers, mangroves, flying and nesting birds, caves, petroglyphs and pictographs, And the hotel itself is a work of art. Astonishing that the hotel, built out of natural stone from the area, was built into a mountainside in the middle of a cascading river. The views of the rushing water, swirling pools and numerous waterfalls are from your room, from your table at the restaurant or and while walking the grounds. The water is loud, scary and mesmerizing. The hotel is not expensive, but it takes some effort to get to it--like most real treasures. We are happy to have found it and stayed for two nights.

Que du bonheur pour ceux qui aime la nature
Il faut le mériter ! ( 10km de piste )4x4 fortement recommandé. Mais le cardre du parc tropical de los Haïtises, les douze piscines et leurs chutes vous récompensent largement de l'effort. Nous avons bien dîner ( crabe cuisiné au lait de coco) un régal. Le petit déjeuné est plus moyen. Le personnel est très sympa.

Das Hotel befindet sich mitten in der Pampa und dorthin von Sabana de la Mar hinzukommen sind zwar ca. 9 km, aber die Strasse ist kaum befahrbar;) Das Hotel liegt gleich im Los Haites Park und da werden 3 Exkursionen vom Hotel aus angeboten: mit dem Motorboot, mit dem Pferd, und mit dem Kayak. Ausser dem Park gibt es in der Gegend nichts mehr, aber man kann die schöne Hotel Einrichtung dafür geniessen. Ich würde da aus diesem Grund maximal 2-3 Tage für den Aufenthalt empfehlen. Im Zimmer gibt es keine Glas-Fenster, nur Mosquitennetz, sprich beim Schlaffen hat man das Gefühl sich in einem Wald zu befinden;) Wenn Sie gerne im Zelt schlafen und Vögel quitschen hören mögen, ist das Hotel die richtige Wahl für Sie. Im Zimmer gibt es keine Mücken, dafür aber zieeeeemlich viele mini aber sehr böse lokale Insekten im Hotelrestaurant- unbedingt den Spray mitnehmen oder auch da vor Ort kaufen.

relaxing get a way.
Very relaxing in the room. No tv. Or telephone makes for a great anniversary. Bring bug spray or alternative. The hotel is on the border of a national forest. I recommend going to los haitises while you are there.

My son's (6 yrs old) first overnight stay in a hotel in his life was a truly positive and memorable occasion. He - and his parents of course - will be back!
