'It was in such a great location! We loved the pub was downstairs and served such great food and drinks! It was nice to walk upstairs and not have to worry about driving. Free parking was nice. Breakfast was just cereal, cold croissant, and a banana but at least it was free. The room was cute but the ceiling was pretty low. 'We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Chestnut Tree. Lisa, the host was the main reason, she is a great communicator which is important when booking. She was so very helpful with local information and incredibly kind. Our room was beautiful and the amenities in the bathroom delightful. The area is beautiful but with only one night, we didn’t get the change to do much exploring. Next time. Thank you Lisa for a wonderful stay.'

'Well located to shops, restaurants, bus, and walking distance to the train station, but room was pretty basic. Many eateries in the area which serve when the in house catering is closed (open 10:00-3:00). Building is old, so not surprised by some minor plumbing issues. Staff friendly and helpful.'

'The manager was lovely and showed us around the room and let us know any key things we needed to know. The room was absolutely lovely, proper cosy country vibes and loved the special touch of a large bottle of sparkling and still water and cookies in our room. Would highly recommend as place to stay!
