De ligging van de accommodatie is dichtbij het Colosseum echter de straatjes om het Hotel zijn nogal vies. Verder is het Hotel enorm oud en dus zeker in de huidige tijd geen 4 sterren waard. Ontbijt is zeer beperkt, geen gebakken ei of warme gekookte eieren. Wat je wel van een 4 sterren hotel mag verwachten. Geen zwembad of restaurant. Staf van het hotel is zeer professioneel. Kamers in de buurt van het trappenhuis hebben vanaf 6:45 last van de keuken waar het ontbijt wordt bereid. Je word wakker door de afwasgeluiden en het opstapelen van borden. Ook na melding wordt er niets meegedaan. Oplossing is de deur van de keuken en de geluidsdeuren richting het trappenhuis dichtdoen.

Geachte heer Percy, wij danken u voor het delen van uw reiservaring in het Capo d'Africa hotel. We zijn blij dat u onze locatie en de zorg die het personeel elke dag besteedt aan het verwennen van gasten, waardeert. Wat betreft het hotel, dat 20 jaar geleden is geopend, wacht het op vernieuwing, die vóór de pandemie had moeten plaatsvinden en die in plaats daarvan in januari 2023 zal arriveren. Dat gezegd hebbende, het hotel is zeer goed onderhouden, heeft zeer grote kamers in vergelijking met bijna alle hotels in Rome, heeft een panoramisch terras waar het ontbijt wordt geserveerd, en ik kan u verzekeren dat we elke dag roerei en gekookte eieren hebben als buffet. , plus eventuele extra verzoeken voor een vergoeding. Het aanbod en de variatie van ons buffet kent weinig gelijken. Als het geluid van buiten haar stoorde, kon ze ons tijdens ons verblijf waarschuwen en zouden we haar kamer onmiddellijk veranderen in een stillere vleugel van ons hotel. Niet alle cliënten hebben dezelfde hindergrens tijdens de slaap. Ik hoop dat je ons een nieuwe kans wilt geven. Ik neem afscheid en dank u voor uw waardevolle rapporten, die we zullen koesteren. Great 4-star hotel. Only complaints, the room was warm and somehow we could nog het the temperature down. Als the LED-lighting at the desk did niet seem to workshop. The shower is great, breakfast is great, walking distance from the Colloseum.

Comfortabel hotel bij het Colosseum
Prima hotel als uitvalsbasis voor een trip naar Rome. Geen zwembad e.d., maar bij mooi weer ontbijten (of dineren) op het dakterras. Vriendelijk en behulpzaam personeel. Schone kamer. Colosseum / Forum Romanum aan het eind van de straat. Halte Metro, tram, hop-on-hop-off bij het Colosseum. Restaurantjes en supermarkt(je) zijn eveneens te vinden in de directe omgeving.

Prima hotel op goede locatie
Goed verzorgd hotel met prima kamers. Je hoort mensen naar hun kamers gaan, maar eenmaal op de kamer is er geen lekkage van geluid. Goede badkamer, prima bedden, zeer goed ontbijt met zeer vriendelijk en behulpzaam personeel. Comfort op de kamer kan iets beter, omdat het niet mogelijk is een temperatuur te selecteren en je afhankelijk bent van de keuzes van het hotel (warm in de winter, koel in de zomer). In de buurt zijn wat pizzeria's, het restaurant (naam niet onthouden) op de hoek van Via Celimontana en Via dei Santi Quattro is prima en biedt (betaalbare) en goede gerechten. Het colosseum zit om de hoek, idem voor Forum Romanum en de Basilica of San Giovanni in Laterno. Centrum is op loopafstand en dit geldt ook voor het station. Het loont de moeite om het hotel te vragen een private-car te regelen voor de reis naar de luchthaven. Dit kost slechts 50 euro, geeft veel comfort en voorkomt de kosten van de Leonardo Express (14 euro pp), de metro om daar te komen (als je niet wilt lopen) en gedoe. De auto brengt je in ongeveer 45 minuten op Fiuminico Airport.

El lugar está muy bien ubicado y de fácil acceso. Y la atención del personal es de primera. Nos ayudaron en a conseguir de inmediato de nuestra llegada los tours que necesitamos y siempre estuvieron atentos en todo. Hablas varios idiomas incluyendo español. Las amenidades fueron básicas pero suficientes y fue de muy buen gusto que su mini bar tenia un buen surtido de bebidas y botanas que en otros lugares suelen estar vacíos.

My friend and I had a great stay. Staff and services were amazing. Only complaint is the water at the front desk smelled and tasted so bad one of the day we were there. It literally smelled like poop/sewer.

We stay there for 7 nights. I'm not sure why this hotel has such a high rating but our experience is definitely not as high as we expected. The hotel is a 3-star in disguise and it shows with the quality of the service they provide. When we first arrived outside the hotel gate with our suitcases, the receptionist saw us approaching, despite knowing there is a flight of stairs to climb in order to reach the lobby, she neither offered nor facilitated another employee to help us. Her attitude does not make you feel welcomed, and she even says "you're welcome" before you say "thank you." When you go in and out of the hotel, only occasionally the person at the bar would greet you, the people at the reception would literally pretend to be busy so they don't have to greet you when they see you coming. This hotel is also stingy AF, they only provide you 1 time free INSTANT coffee in your room. They provide you with so many mini-bar options that they can't even keep track of if you used any. I had to tell them that they placed an extra bottle of water and handed it back to the mini-bar person to avoid the charges, in the end, the reception still tried to charge me with it. Anyway, this is the most disappointing hotel experience I had in my Italy trip, especially after our wonderful time in Florence. By the way, ask them to change your room if it's on the first floor. It is really noisy and you get no privacy as it is next to a road in an area full of bars and restaurants.

I like the convenience of having complimentary bath soap, hand soap, lotion, shaving kit, cotton tipped swabs for cleaning my ears after showers, and makeup remover kits; the safe and quiet area; the cleanliness of the hotel, and that my linens and used towels were changed. One constructive feedback to hotel management: Please alert guests on your website/reservation website and at check-in of the following so that international travelers who may not be aware of your hotel’s or of Europe’s unique technologic regulations are not caught off-guard: 1) your hotel has safety technology that requires the electronic key card to always be inserted and stay inserted in the key card holder slot in each room not only for safet teasons but also to control the lights in the room; tell guests that lights will not turn on if this is not done; I was not told this latter part, so I had to ask how to turn lights on. because I forgot to put the key card in the key card holder slot; tell guest to remove and take the key card with them when they leave the room; 2) the electric outlets do not work if guests have only two-pronged plugs on their ekectronic devices; tell guests where to buy compatible adapters; 3) there are no irons. The things I did not like: No iron; the hotel was so old that the bathroom fan did not work, so the bathroom fogged up after showers. If I had had a longer stay, I would have said something to management, but my stay was only two nights, so I said nothing.

The room was beautiful, spacious, very modern, and had a very comfortable bed. The front desk and maintenance staff were very helpful and friendly. The location was great, walking distance to restaurants and the Colosseum, Forum. A couple of lights didn’t work and maintenance had to come fix the TV connection, and our maintenance request was responded to quickly. I highly recommend this place and would stay there again.

Overall, the stay at this hotel was pretty average. The staff was pleasant to interact with and the bartender in the bar below was excellent. The rooms are comfortable with good bedding and pillows. It is on the quiet side and bit further away from some of the busier and exciting areas in town (spanish steps, etc). But is in a great location if you are looking for a place near the colosseum (six minute walk). House keeping did a good job of cleaning the room but the tea / coffee were not refilled regularly and neither was the body wash. The most disappointing part was the bathroom. We had two connecting rooms and the smaller bathroom had a shower area that was an extremely small enclosed square with no lighting. The bathroom smelled like mildew and it had a noticeably bad smell all the time. We developed an allergy after two days of staying there and when looking around we noticed that the bathroom had a lot of black mold on the ceiling of the shower area. It was not immediately noticeable as the shower area does not have any lights. We took a video of the same but not sure if we can share it in this review. To give the hotel credit they did “clean” the mold after we informed them of it but were not apologetic about it and almost seemed annoyed. Additionally, in the second bathroom the water did not flow in the sink smoothly and the sink would just fill up while using it. In summary, if not for the mold in the bathroom would probably have given it a 4 rating.
