When it is time to venture away from Blue Nirvana Villa XXI, your concierge can help arrange a host of activities. Enjoy a round of golf at the scenic Sandals Emerald Bay Golf Course, the venue for the annual PGA Bahamas Great Exuma Classic Tournament. Experience a boat tour, which can be arranged right from Emerald Bay Marina, only 5 minutes away by golf cart. Pick a tour of George Town Harbor and the grottoes where were James Bond and Pirates of the Caribbean were filmed, stopping on Stocking Island for lunch at the well-known Chat ‘n Chill restaurant, or opt for an adventure in the Exuma Cays for snorkeling, and a closeup encounter with iguanas and the famous swimming pigs. Rent a car to explore the island and drive to Tropic of Cancer Beach, 23.4° north of the equator, to enjoy a suntan from the rays of the sun directly overhead. Or try a fishing trip. Interaction With Guests
Upon arrival, you will be greeted by the concierge who will hand you the keys and tour the villa with you to explain the functioning of the appliances and pool equipment, as well as help you connect to the villa's WiFi network. The concierge will review the rules governing the use of the golf cart and will give you a copy of the Golf Cart Usage Agreement. Your concierge will have reached out to you before your arrival to discuss optional activities and will confirm these with you. If desired, your concierge can help arrange additional activities once you reach your home-away-from-home. Lastly, your concierge will provide a WhatsApp number so help is always available throughout your stay.
Getting There
Great Exuma is closer than you think! Direct flights connect Exuma International Airport in Georgetown (GGT) with Nassau (NAS; 0h40), Miami (MIA; 1h15), Fort Lauderdale (FLL; 1h45), and Atlanta (ATL; 2h30). Guests of Villa XXI enjoy complimentary transportation to the airport on the day of arrival and the day of departure. Villa XXI is a short 20-minute drive away from the airport. There are no traffic lights on Exuma because there is no traffic!
About the Area
Villa XXI is located within Roker Point Estates, a unique gated community surrounding a man-made sea channel. Roker Point Estates is part of the Emerald Bay community, we share a 24-hour security guard. The villa has no immediate neighbor, guaranteeing the privacy of the guests. Emerald Bay Marina is adjacent to Roker Point Estates and can harbor up to 150 boats, ranging from 40 feet crafts to 240 feet luxury yachts. A 5-minute golf cart ride or a pleasant 20-minute walk will take you to Emerald Bay, a beautiful crescent-shaped beach of fine white sand that lights up as one liquid jewel radiating emerald green light when the sun hits the waves. Around Emerald Bay are Sandals Emerald Bay (a couples-only resort) and Grand Isle Resort & Spa (a family resort). Both offer fine dining options and access to land and water sports.
Getting Around
There is really no need to rent a car when staying at Villa XXI. Guests enjoy complimentary use of an electric golf cart, for easy access to the marina, Sandals Emerald Bay Golf Course, Emerald Bay, and nearby resorts. While it is forbidden to drive the cart on public roads, it is only a 5-minute walk to Bristol Wine & Spirits from the main gate of the Emerald Bay development, where you can find quality wine and liquors. Your concierge can arrange for groceries to be stocked at the villa prior to your arrival and can deliver last-minute items during your stay. All activities booked with your concierge include land transportation if required. Of course, car rental is available on Great Exuma, and your concierge will be happy to assist!
