'I would definitely stay here again- the staff were great, the beds were very comfortable and the breakfast was varied and delicious (i had porridge with honey the first day and french toast the second day- there was also cooked food available and a range of continental items). The hotel was quiet and very homely. A very enjoyable stay.'

'Vriendelijk en behulpzaam personeel. Zeer goed onderhouden authenthiek hotel. Voor diner kan je in restaurant en in bar terecht, voor drinks heb je gin bar en grotere bar die gezellig aangekleed is. Ruime en comfortabele kamers. Een minpuntje is dat ontbijt beperkt is en geen warm buffet. '

'As soon as we walked through the door, we knew we made the right choice. The restaurant/bar area was beautiful and cozy. The hotel staff was welcoming. Our room was nicely decorated, and the bay window view of the sea was gorgeous. I will stay at the Avoca any time that I return to Newcastle.'

'Welcome was good, friendly and informative. Room was pleasant, clean and well situated with à separate entrance to Restaurant. Meals taken were good with excellent selection for breakfast. We were aware of entertainment in the Bar, which was excellent both nights. Note: entertainment is not availble in their Bar every night but there is entertainment somewhere in Rostrevor each night.'

'Really recommend kilmorey arms staff so helpful . This is the second time I have stayed here and my room this time was even better than last time. It was lovely to see a big walk in shower. Breakfast was really nice and very attentive staff.'

'Amazing guest house on an amazing property! Very five star!'

'Room perfect and clean. The breakfast was poor quality, a little background music would bring some atmosphere, it felt like a funeral. Could not pay in cash, only card. '

'The reception staff were lovely and very helpful. The staff in the bar serving afternoon food and drinks were slow and not very knowledgeable, also the snack choices were very limited. Rooms and bathrooms were clean. The swimming pool was very poor paint peeling, rust around units on the walls. The steam room and sauna not very inviting.'

'Spotless. Clean and tidy. Quiet. Had all the facilities needed Second time there. '

'This was a little tougher than expected. However it was altogether nice. More like renting a resort cottage. Would be great for young couples or groups of friends. Lots of little extras having a full kitchen and laundry. Shower not really an option. Local area very quiet. This also meant few options for pubs or restaurants except the local grocer. Slept well with the windows open and enjoyed magnificent views of the mournes and water.'

'Great location and private gardens to relax'

'Good hotel with quality views from the bedroom and super breakfast will be returning soon'

'It was amazing. Surrounded by hills and the Mourne mountains and a view of the ocean in the distance. Woke up to cows in the front pasture and sheep in the back pasture each morning. So peaceful there. Cottage has everything one would need for a very pleasant stay.'

'Unfortunately I cannot post photos of the property but where to begin. When we arrived we were greeted with full bins and rubbish on the floor which we were told to pick up. The outside furniture is in a horrible state that I wouldn’t even let the kids sit on with the rust. The oven was in a disgusting state and the fridge door was broken. The state of the cottage was like nothing I’ve seen before. Which is very surprising considering that when you book this property you are then told that the...

'We chose this property for our family trip to Ireland because of its three bedrooms, vast array of amenities and location, especially its proximity to the city of Newry and, last but not least, its view overlooking the town of Warrenpoint and Carlingford Lough. By the time we got to 27 Pinewood Hill and settled in for our stay, we were blown away by the exceptional quality of our accommodations. All rooms in 27 pinewood hill including the three bedrooms, bathroom (walk-in shower), half bath and...
