Pet friendly,cozy cabin near Tail of the Dragon.Paved driveway & covered parking

The house was built in the 1940's and was newly remodeled in 2014. Fully paved driveway off of a 2 lane paved country road with covered parking and paved walkway to the front porch. Makes this a great spot for low profile sports cars and motorcycles (no gravel roads to deal with). It is also an excellent spot for nature enthusiasts, as you can sit on the porch and view wild ducks in the nearby creek, many species of native birds, squirrels and occasionally you may see a deer or other wildlife passing through. It is a cozy little spot with all the luxuries of home and modern accessories such as starlink internet and fire stick for streaming TV. The living room has nice leather seating with recliners on both ends of the sofa. Kitchen is fully equipped with all the necessities to cook meals with. Includes gas grill in the covered carport, crockpot, blender, coffee maker with Keurig and regular coffee pot, some coffee provided for both. Extra linens, blankets and quilts for beds, throw blankets, towels and wash clothes are provided. There is central heat and air in the downstairs. Also an electric fireplace in the living room. A split unit upstairs provides heat and air conditioning. Ceiling fans are located in both bedrooms as well. Large TV in upstairs bedroom with a fire stick for streaming. Login into your accounts to watch all your favorites. From the porch you can view the nearby creek, majestic mountains and the owners garden spot. Feel free to walk down and put your feet in the cool mountain water or gather some fresh veggies from the garden. A fire pit is provided in the side yard of the house with seating for 6 (we also provide firewood and starters so you don’t have to go out looking to buy your wood). There is a picnic table near the gas grill for some outdoor dining with amazing views. All you need to bring is your clothes and food. We can help provide some of those fresh fruits and veggies when they are in season. There is 2 bedrooms and 2 full baths. The bedroom on the main level has a King bed with bathroom connected, Also has a separate entrance to bathroom from utility room. The upstairs bedroom has 2 full beds and 1 twin bed. A comfy chair near the window is a great spot to sit and read. An attached deck to the upstairs has a separate entrance with 2 chairs to sit outside and enjoy your morning cup of coffee or evening glass of wine. Upstairs bathroom has a huge walk in shower. Both bathrooms have lots of extra towels and wash clothes for your convenience. Extra linens are also provided for both bedrooms. The beds are all covered in very comfortable linens. All beds have several pillows of different sizes for your preference. Cabin is located about 9 miles from Fontana marina. We are in a central location to many area attraction and a short drive to the Tail of the Dragon. Other area nearby attractions include Harrah's Casino, Cherohala Skyway, Great Smoky Mountain Railroad, Fontana Dam, Joyce Kilmer Natonal Forest where in early to mid June the Fireflies light up in unison, and numerous other attractions. The area is great for hiking, biking, motorcycling, lake fishing, fly fishing, boating, swimming, white water rafting or just relaxing. There is also some amazing places for photography here, as Graham County is so beautiful and one of North Carolina's most remote counties. There is a set of Corn Hole boards and a badminton set upon request. Our place is dog friendly. Number of dogs is limited to 2 small type dogs under 50 pounds please. There is an $80.00 pet fee.

Cozy cabin in a beautiful setting

My husband and I stayed the weekend, and had a great time. The cabin was clean and inviting with all the amenities we needed. Beds were comfortable, and we slept great! Great flow in the showers, which isnt always the case at other rentals! Would definitely stay here again.

The cabin was awesome and Sandi was amazing! It was the perfect location to enjoy an event that we attended at Fontana while staying away from the noise and bustle! Sandi was also super helpful and checked in with us periodically to make sure we were all set. 10/10 would recommend staying here and we plan to be back again! Thanks Sandi!

Our fourth yearly trip to the area. This is a great place if you plan on bringing motorcycles. Easy access with carport. The house was very clean and perfect for what we needed. Over all, a great experience!

We had an awesome time! Property manager made sure we had everything we needed and was very easy to deal with throughout the whole process! Cottage was very cute and very clean. We live that area and lots of things to do!!😊

Relaxing weekend

Very comfortable cabin in the woods.. We found this place to have most everything needed for a delightful visit to one of the most beautiful areas in the world. the place had plenty of space for two of us on the main floor. With a bathroom and super,comfortable king bed. There was also an upstairs with two double and a single bed we didn’t use. So we really enjoyed our two day stay.

Great Place to Unplug

Charming and Peaceful... enjoyed unplugging. Hosts were more than gracious - they have amazing gardens across the way. Enjoyed Joyce Kilmer Forest, Fontana Dam. Drove Tail of the Dragon, and close enough to Bryson City to enjoy attractions there and that part of the Smoky Mountain National Park. finished our stay in the area driving the Cherohala Skyway... which was amazing... a great vacation!

Great place for car/motorcycle enthusiasts close to the Dragon.

My son and I were in town for the Deals Gap Rotary Rally. Our plans included spending time driving the local roads, into the park and some time around Bryson City. The property is about 20 minutes from the tail of the dragon and a little more to Bryson City, which worked out well for us. Beds were comfortable. Everything was clean. The car port and nearby hose were very nice features to prep our car for the car show on Saturday. I definitely wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

Heaven on earth

I have stayed and several different places in area but I will say, this is my favorite. Everything was perfect and clean. Great location and absolutely beautiful. I wish I had taken pictures but too busy enjoying the scenery. Got to meet the owners and fell in love with them as well; so gracious. We rode motorcycles to the area and I always make sure the place I stay has covered parking for the bikes and ASPHALT. This place has both. I highly recommend this house. Thank you, Sandi and Darrin, for everything! I will be back!

This property was exactly as advertised. It was a great place to stay for our exploration of the roads and towns on the southern side of the Great Smokey Mountain region. It was the perfect place to end the day after cruising the mountain highways. The covered pad for cars and cycles was great! The cabin was clean, quiet, and relaxing. Loved it!

Clean, Cozy, Sweetly decorated! Great get away!

We immediately were reminded of each of our Grandmas when we pulled in. The place was so sweet and quaint! Everything was clean and the decor was so charming. We really enjoyed our vacation. This cabin was well equipped with everything you need for a get away. The owner Sandi was so responsive to any of our questions. The creek noise will lull you to sleep.

"Tail of the Dragon" stay

Sandi's cabin was a good choice for our Tail of the Dragon trip in the corvette. It's only 30 minutes to Deal's Gap and 20 minutes to Robbinsville that has a very nice grocery and some good options for dining. The cabin is updated, decorated very nicely.and equipped with everything we needed to make our stay wonderful. It is easy to access with paved roads, not far off the highway. Sandi was a very attentive hostess making sure we had what we needed and available to answer our questions. If you want more than just gorgeous scenery and peaceful surroundings, Bryson City is only 25 minutes away with lots of attractions for young and older. Gatlinburg is about an hour for those wanting more action. We would definitely like to return! Thanks for a great stay!!
