Overall our family had a great time on vacation. We had a few minor issues, but the owner was very responsive and helped resolve quickly. Every family has different things they look for when they go on vacation which is why my 4 could be your 5, or your 3 depending on what you feel is most important.
Her are the pros:
1. Great lot, very private, lots of room for activities
2. Comfortable beds
3. Well stocked kitchen
4. Nice sitting area in the basement for family movie night
5. Large list of things to do as a family - ping pong, foosball, arcade game, fire pit, Kayaks and many yard games (family had a spirited Croquet tournament)
6. Large shaded area outside to enjoy coffee and relax in the Adirondack chairs.
7. Large table for family meals
Cons:
1. The room with the swing chair in the summer is pretty much unusable as it get very hot in there.
2. The house is definitely cleaned before new families check in, but it could use a deeper clean, as there are cob webs in most of the corners of the ceiling, there was dirty napkins on the outdoor furniture, when we took the cover off, and the exhaust fan in the main bathroom was very dusty and had cob webs
3. If you are coming to do a lot of boating the chain of lakes only has 1 gas pump on it and no marinas. When we were there the gas pump was out of order so we had to refuel the boat with gas cans. Not the owners fault, but maybe some more info about the chain of lakes in the write up would be helpful.
4. Poor water pressure, if you have long hair like my wife it will take a while to get all the shampoo out of your hair.
5. None of the bedrooms have dressers, or places to put your clothes, besides hangers to hang any shirts in the closet. There were also no mirrors in any of the rooms.
Again, overall we had a great time, and were very comfortable, so we would recommend.
