'The house, built 1870, would be a dream for children: candy, cookies, chocolate, muffins, candybars e v e r y w h e r e !! Inside it has an extensive collection of all kind of odds and ends, which makes the house so cozy! We stayed in the governer's room, a big room with a comfortable king bed. You must not count on (daily) cleaning and making the bed, because both jobs won't happen. That was a bit disappointing, because we stayed for four nights and had expected that to happen. 'Wonderful Stay – A Breath of Fresh Air After leaving another hotel due to terrible conditions, staying at the Hampton Inn was exactly what my family needed. The hotel was clean, comfortable, and very well-kept. The rooms were spotless, the beds were cozy, and everything felt fresh. 'Excellent service. Very nice lady working the front desk. She was very helpful. The condition of room 225: Freezer in refrigerator was over iced and unusable. Bathroom door was battered and broken, the lower slat of its frame dropping onto the floor. The bathtub ledge had cigarette burns (This was a non smoking room) The white sheets on the bed although clean had grayed stains streaking across its underside. So although the front of desk was excellent, the maintenance and housekeeping needs...
