'I've stayed at Intercontinental several times in the past including my honeymoon and have had a great experience. However, my experience at the Houston location wasn't as smooth. To start, the bell man was great, he was personable and was ready to help us. We had 4 big luggages and he was ready and willing to help with a smile. When trying to check in, the attendant wasnt as personable. Didnt even smile to welcome us. We got in early, so I asked if they had a room availbe to check in early....

'I found the bathroom to be quite surprising. I noticed that the solid door had been replaced with a glass one. My 10-year-old son almost bumped into it, which was a bit concerning. Also, the transparent glass allows you to see inside the bathroom, which might not be ideal for all guests. I believe these aspects could be improved to make the experience more comfortable for families.'

'The housekeeping and front desk staff were very disappointing and were not accommodating at all! Our room ran out of towels and toilet paper on our second day! There were no available extras on hand! As we requested multiple times from the front desk, they just told us housekeeping is not in yet that we had to wait for a roll of toilet paper?! Whereas, you could easily just get off your phone and go to the closet or wherever you guys have it stocked and hand us ONE Roll! The service was not...

'This was a good, hotel in a great district with some very nice amenities. The staff are lovely and the shuttle is fantastic. I didn’t use the pool or spa so can’t speak to this. The rooms are not as luxury boutique as I was expecting but they were certainly comfortable, just a bit in need of renovation- at least in the section of the hotel in which I was placed. Beds were truly comfy. Coffee in hallways was nice for the morning! '

'Modern BnB was a pleasant surprise. It is in a wonderful location, clean, extremely comfortable, everyone we meet couldn't have been kinder, and breakfast had everything we wanted. I visited with my sister and they put us in rooms across from each other with a shared area that was a very pleasant surprise. Overall, we had an exceptional experience. '

'Loved staying at this brand new accommodation. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, especially Tiffany at the front desk. The rooms are luxurious and clean with amazing views of Houston. The workout area in an entire floor and rivals the best gym I've been to. And, there are gorgeous places to sit and relax or work on the outdoor decks or the many lounge areas inside. Don't hesitate to stay here.'

'Hotel was being repaired, no elevator, breakfast was nothing, should of been called after booking online about repairs. Being in my mid 70's walking up to the third flood was not part of my plans.'
