'We received a warm welcome from Cam. Our room was clean and our bed incredibly comfortable. Breakfast was pure delicious perfection. My wife had pulled a muscle in her back and stayed working in the lounge area. Cam made sure that my wife had a hot water bottle, to keep the injured muscle comforted, and pots of tea to keep her going. It is obvious that Cam goes the extra mile for all her guests. 'There was limited evening meal choice when we stayed but it was still delicious, as was breakfast. The bedroom was a little too warm for our liking so we kept the window open, (frames need the mould removing though). All staff members were very friendly and helpful. Stairs to bedrooms/dining room/bar are a little steep so may not suit those with mobility issues. '

'Location is stunning and the walks along the cliffs were breathtaking. Breakfast buffet was plentiful but the hot food was not very good. Have had better at a Premier Inn. The morning we checked out something nauseating that smelled like poo had been sprayed or dumped nearby and it assaulted our noses upon exiting the building. Glad we were leaving that day as we would have been stuck inside. Also, our bathroom towel bar and fan were not working. The outside patio lights need to have a switch to...

'Host Karen was friendly and helpful. The place is set in a peaceful and beautiful location. I stayed for 9 days due to working in and around the location and I enjoyed it . Would not hesitate to go back. Fantastic views ,nice walks and a really comfy and tidy apartment'

'Excellent friendly hotel. Ample parking, clean and comfortable rooms. Restaurant excellent. Owners are very friendly. Nothing too much trouble. There was a minor set back with checking in. Check in from 4 but door locked. It was a little frustrating as I’d been working all day but wasn’t waiting too long. Hopefully was a one off as I will be surely checking in again when I’m in the area. '

'Kitchen was stocked with bread, butter, milk and jam, which was lovely but there was NO tea or coffee. However, given how dirty some of the mugs were, that probably wasn't a bad thing. There were also dirty trays left in the oven and drawer. Rest of cottage was clean thankfully. However, frustrating as limited power points, and no shaver socket in bathroom for toothbrush. Bedroom door handle/latch was very stiff and hard to open. Shower temperature dial was also VERY stiff. It was stuck on...

'I was disappointed to find that despite what it said on the Hotels site the Red Lion did not organise parking if you phoned. I had to park 5 minutes walk away and thankfully it was not raining too hard. With no food at the pub food choices were a little limited but luckily there is a very good take away pizza shop 50 metres away. The breakfast I had was very good so no problems with that.'
