Yellow Birch Lodge - Private Vacation Rental Home

This Eagle River, Wisconsin vacation rental home is located on Yellow Birch Lake, part of the world's largest inland chain of 28 lakes in Eagle River Wisconsin. Yellow Birch Lodge sits on a secluded two acre wooded site on a semi-private bay.

The seven bedroom, four bathroom executive home also has a large sleeping loft for kids and offers the ideal Northwoods setting. All three stories overlook the lake and the surrounding forest. Some amenities include a large stone wood burning fireplace, a covered boat dock, multiple living spaces and a fire pit area to share all the day's adventures while roasting marshmallows. During your stay there are multiple water toys provided for you to enjoy such as three double kayaks, two single kayaks, two Great Lakes paddle boards, a rowboat, a canoe and an Otter Island swim raft. We have a large Weber gas grill and for you Grill Masters, we have added a Santa Maria Grill (see the grill in the photo section) to allow our guests to also enjoy charcoal or wood-fired cooking. A very large grill that can accommodate large groups.

You are literally within walking distance of Eagle River's celebrated 18 hole championship golf course (we highly recommend their Bloody Marys BTW) and a couple minutes by car from downtown Eagle River with its excellent shopping and dining options. Yellow Birch Lodge is just off the snowmobile trail system which offers some of the best groomed trails you will find anywhere.

The property was absolutely gorgeous. It was able to comfortably fit 20 people with space to spare. Itโ€™s in a fantastic location with easy access to the lake, a little alcove you can swim in, and plenty of things to do (kayak, paddleboard, campfire, etc). All supplied by the VRBO. They had everything needed at the VRBO for cooking/dinnerware/etc) which was fantastic. Loved the basketball hoop and the Santa Maria grill. Communication with the owner was easy and they had very quick responses. They even sent a PDF before the stay of all the things to do, the items included, and any questions you might have. It made it very easy to plan for so we didnโ€™t overpack. I would 100% stay here again and likely will in the future. Highly recommend.

Our stay at Yellow Birch Lodge was wonderful! There were 15 in total - grandparents, children, and grandchildren. We brought jet skis and rented a pontoon. It was a week full of love and fun - we have many wonderful memories to reflect back on. The owner (Mark) is exceptionalโ€ฆresponding to questions or requests promptly! Yellow Birch Lodge was terrific for our every two year family gathering. Nice lodging, wonderful location, outstanding amenities including canoes, kayaks, paddle boards etc. The owner provided exceedingly detailed instructions and information. If you go, for sure rent a pontoon boat for the duration. Near perfect, with the only issue being construction occurring next door.

Perfect Retreat Location

We had 19 students and advisors for a small winter leadership retreat. The convenience of shops nearby, along with the space and beds, made the stay perfect. The wood fireplace was a plus. Overall, it was perfect for our event.

Annual Family Vacation

Lodge was very spacious and clean. Owners great to work with, no issues. Property just beautiful. Great view of the water and chain. Amazing screened in porch. We spent an entire week at the cabin (12 of us, 10 adults and 2 infants). We brought jets skis, a fishing boat and rented a pontoon for the week. Plenty of room for the watercraft. Love this place

We had a large family group with 5-10 yr. olds, middle aged parents and the senior generation. This property was great for all of us. Loved the lake views from the porch and the house itself is beautiful. Lots of common spaces for us to get together and talk, plenty of space for us to spread out and eat, lots of indoor and outdoor space for the kids to paly. We used all the watercraft, it was fantastic to get to paddle and swim everyday and the kids got a kick out of stand up paddleboarding. Bonus - the dock and swimming area is in a small, protected bay so we not bothered by boats zooming by and it felt really safe for the kiddos. Highly recommended and I would 100% stay again. Caveats for some: the loft space is open to a common area so it can be a bit loud for anyone who turns in early or sleeps late. For those with mobility issues, there are many stairs down to the lake.

The Big Trip III

Met all of our family needs. Loft was a great place for the kids to play. Screened in porch was awesome and the most used room. Paddle boards and paddle boat were used the most. Good covered boat dock with close electrical for charging our batteries. Swim platform was also used a lot. Located on the Eagle Chain allowed plenty of fishing spots and beautiful boat rides. Plenty of firewood and a nice fire pit got used every night. The Bunn coffee pot was excellent, fast, and used every morning. All in all, this was a great place for our family to spend 2024's The Big Trip III.

Absolutely Perfect!

This was by far the best property I've stayed at for a larger group of people. The cabin was extremely clean and provided the perfect layout of rooms/beds to accommodate all! Screened in porch was a huge benefit, no bugs! My group was a lot of fisherman so the large dock was perfect for multiple boats, jetskis, and even a pontoon. Also loved there's power by the dock to charge your boat! Will definitely stay again!
