'Wir haben drei Nächte im Hotel Black Pearl verbracht und waren rundum begeistert.
Das Appartementhotel liegt in der Nähe des alten Hafens eine zentrale und attraktive Lage.
Die Zimmer sind außergewöhnlich geräumig und mit viel Geschmack eingerichtet, sodass man sich sofort wohlfühlt.
Besonders hervorheben möchten wir den freundlichen und hilfsbereiten Empfang: Beim Check-in wurden wir persönlich bis zum Zimmer begleitet, und kleine Fragen konnten direkt vor Ort geklärt werden.

'Hotel just in center of Reykjavik, comfortable proper rooms. Luxury bathroom. Lots of restaurants on walking distance (5-15 min). Good breakfast.
One disadvantage: there is no parking facility. We paid €80 each night in the nearby parking garage (advised / proposed by the hotel reception desk), that's an expensive parking.'

'Accommodatie ligt centraal aan de hoofdwinkelstraat in Reykjavik. Hierdoor heb je in het weekend wel heel de nacht last van het uitgaansleven, maar er zijn oordopjes aanwezig. Keurig appartement van alle gemakken voorzien. De keuken is compleet uitgerust, incl thee, koffie etc. Parkeren kan na 18 uur tot 9 uur gratis voor de deur. Wij hadden bijna altijd plek en anders bij de kerk, dat is ongeveer 5-10 min. lopen.'

"Prachtig hotel. Midden in het centrum. Fijne bedden. Handige kitchenette en jus en melk staat klaar. Perfecte plek"
"We stayed one night in a double room without a private bathroom. The location is perfect – just a short walk from the heart of downtown Reykjavik. The room itself was spacious and met our basic needs, except for one major issue: there were someone else’s hairs on the bed, which was quite off-putting.
However, the shared bathrooms and toilets were truly awful. We didn’t expect a luxury place, but we did expect a reasonable level of cleanliness and maintenance. One of the bathroom doors couldn’t even close properly due to a warped frame. One toilet was broken, another was clogged, and the hairdryer and kettle were both out of order.
In short: while the room was acceptable, the shared bathroom facilities were a nightmare and seriously affected our overall experience."

"Our apartment is quite big. The location is convenient to all the major interesting places in the city. The reception is helpful.
But the kitchen can hardly be used due to very limited cooking utensils and cleaning capacity. If you plan to cook yourself, maybe you should find another place.
The breakfast is also very limited.
Regarding parking, the on site parking is 20 Euro/day and there is only 1 lot. It's not too difficult to find a on street parking nearby, but it's expensive at 600 ISK/hour, payable from 9am to 9pm. A good choice is to park in a nearby garage (Tradarkot) at the rate of 260 ISK for the 1st hour and 130 ISK/hour for the following hours (Oct. 2024 price). With Parka app, it's very convenient to check in and out for the garage. "
