'A nice place in a great location just a 5 minute walk from Grosmont Station. Its not a modern hotel, and rooms are not soundproofed so you can expect to overhear other guests coming and going. The showers are difficult to set to the right heat and are affected by other people using water. A bit of modernisation would help. Decor in room dated and could do with refreshing but otherwise, a nice friendly place to spend a few nights. '

'The property is really nicely done up and the folk who run it are charming. The local shops (within 50 yards) are superb and we enjoyed getting bread and meat from them for going home! The local pub was an excellent place to dine!'

'Requested parking and Luckily managed to secure a parking space outside the guest house and Phil gave me a parking permit for our full stay. The room was big, clean and comfortable with sofa to relax on, ensuit with shower and lovely soft towels. Teas, coffee and hot chocolate, bisuits and chocolate daily in room. The breakfast was lovely and the full english was huge, cereal, yogurt and fruit availble. We had a lovely stay and would return when in Whitby '

'Staithes is mine and my partner's favourite place in the UK. We have stayed in Staithes a few times now and I can honestly say I would recommend this cottage to anyone. The location is perfect with a bit of a sea view from the bedroom window. The cottage has a lovely cosy feel to it, beds are really comfy and has everything you need for a short/ long stay.
