The condo was great! The view from the balcony was even better. The surrounding property (Hazards) is a dump, but with good food. The well water undrinkable unless boiled because of the sulfur. All week long we were gagging from the rotten egg smell from the water. Once you're on the island, you're kind of stuck with not much to do. If that's your jam, you'll love it. There is a water taxi that runs at certain blocks of times throughout the day, but it only takes you to Put-In-Bay. Miller Ferry runs a few times throughout the day, but neither of these run enough to get you off the isolated island frequently enough. One resident said that if a medical emergency is needed, you are looking at a ten thousand dollar air lift bill because it's the only thing to get you off the island quickly.
In all, it was a great place, but too isolating for us.
Condo worked for our family of 4. The water was very smelly (sulfur smell) which was difficult when the smell filled the rooms. We also like to sit on the balcony... but had to turn off the AC because it was out there and very loud. Beach was ok, could use some upkeep. We spent alot of time at the pool around the corner (highly recommend).
