I rarely write bad reviews. I want to start with the communication between expedia and Riu. When my son got injured and we have to cancel his stay, I contact expedia right away. The airline was able to refund me right away. For Riu, initially I contacted Expedia and explained the situation that my son couldn't make it to the trip but we still would like to stay at the same hotel, but since it's an all-inclusive resort I was hoping they can modify my booking and get some refund. Expedia got back to me a day later saying no response from the Riu and suggested me to just cancel the book. It was only 2 weeks away from my vacation and most resorts are full. I chose not to cancel. Instead I send the Riu hotel couple emails and hope someone can get back to me. No response... ok, finally we check-ined to the hotel and I still wanted to talk to someone about the booking. The staff helped me was a young men you can tell he just started his job not long ago but he was willing to call his supervisor. The supervisor was right behind the desk. He explained it to his supervisor and came back asked me to wait. I finally got to talk to his supervisor and repeated my situation. I got a very blunt reply since I book my stay thru Expedia I have to go through Expedia. I was like, but I wrote you guys emails. He replied, we wouldn't reply your emails because you booked it from Expedia. I was in shock, this is properly the worst customer service I have ever received from a HOTEL. cleaness, food,
