Beach Access Air Conditioned Modern Cottage At Gateway To Olympic National Park

This air-conditioned cottage features 1 queen bed, 2 bathrooms, a cozy living room with a 5’5” long leather couch, a crib in the walk in closet, an office and a kitchen plus essential amenities like a washing machine, a clothes dryer and a hair dryer. It is located 12 minutes’ drive from Kingston-Edmonds ferry terminal, 30 minutes from Bainbridge-Seattle ferry terminal, one hour from Olympic National Park Visitor Center and Hurricane Ridge. Perfect for a relaxing getaway, this cool retreat is the ideal place to unwind and explore the local surroundings, like the beaches, ocean, lakes, mountains, trails, wineries, farms,etc.

This charming cottage is part of an ocean front mostly flat property of 1.85 acres with private beach and tide land. You can easily harvest oysters, clams and gueducks with a permit. There is a lotus pond with a water fall at the front yard and a zen pond connected to each other by a small stone bridge. There is a swing bed between the trees by the zen pond, a tranquil and appealing spot for meditation.

The host and hostess live with their 94-year-old mom in the main house. Their son is an undergraduat student of the University of Cambridg in the UK. He also lives in the main house when his school is not in session. The host is one of the top herbalists featured in TV and newspapers both in the US and China. He has saved thousands of peoples’ lives when traditional western medicine failed. He may be available for a herbal consultation during your stay. The hostess was a university teacher in Beijing and executive of a multi national company. She is familiar with education and real estate markets in both China and the US. The host and hostess speak both English and Chinese.

Gas stations, Safeway and restaurants are 3 to 6 minutes drive away. The booking does not include the meals. Breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea or dinner with the host and hostess may be available for a fee upon request.

There is an expansive waterfront lawn with fruit trees, flowers, swing and slide for children at the backyard. Events may be available upon request. Pit fires may be available. Quiet time is between 10pm and 8am.

The sauna inside the main house and swim spa and hot tub at the waterfront backyard are available for a fee upon request.

All guests are required to sign a waiver of liability. Picture ID of all adult guests are required at the time of check in. Guests go to the beach and do the water activities at their own risk.

Self check in is available. Codes will be provided one day before check in. Shoes must be removed inside the house.
