Mooi appartement midden in het centrum van Port-en-Bessin
Wij (gezin met 2 zonen van 20 en 21 jaar incl aanhang) hebben 2 heerlijke weken gehad hier. Het appartement is verrassend en gezellig ingedeeld. De keuken is volledig ingericht, alles tot afwasmiddel, zout, kruiden, etc is aanwezig. Vanuit de keuken kom je op de patio van 10 m2. Hier kun je met 4 tot 6 mensen net zitten om te eten. Er zijn ook 2 ligstoelen. De zon komt hier midden op de dag, dus er is ruimte om zowel in de zon als in de schaduw te zitten. Wasmachine en droger zijn aanwezig en de auto kan perfect in de garage staan, dus geen problemen met parkeren. Ook de 2e auto konden we eigenlijk altijd wel kwijt op de kade. In verband met de markt moet je 2x per week wel rekening houden of je de auto wel of niet in de garage zet, als er markt is kun je er namelijk niet uit, alleen lopend. De markt staat pal voor de deur opgesteld, wel heel gezellig en praktisch met de groente/fruit boer voor de deur. De vrijdagavond markt in het hoogseizoen sluit af om 23.00 uur met mooi vuurwerk, welke goed zichtbaar is vanuit de woonkamer. Handdoeken zijn ruim voor handen en zijn inbegrepen, evenals beddengoed. De overdracht bij aankomst en vertrek verlopen heel soepel. Het enige dat wij hebben gemist was de tafeltennistafel, deze was helaas in reparatie, terwijl wij met 2 volwassen jongens juist hadden geboekt incl tafeltennis, zodat ze iets hadden om zich te vermaken met slechter weer 's avonds. Echter goed weer gehad en veel buiten geweest. Het is 's avonds ook gezellig om Port-en-Bessin nog even door te lopen. Winkeltjes zijn open en er is voldoende gelegenheid om ergens op het terras plaats te nemen voor een hapje en of drankje. Port-en-Bessin is zeer centraal gelegen voor een bezoek aan de invasiestranden en bezienswaardigheden mbt de Tweede Wereldoorlog.

Excellent sejour dans un endroit idealement situé !
Nous avons passé un très bon séjour dans la maison de Régine! Nous avons eu la chance d'avoir un temps magifique pour découvrir Arromanche/Omaha et le cimetiere américain/ la Pointe du Hoc / Sainte Mere l'Eglise et son musée...ainsi que Bayeux. Pique-nique le midi et retaurant à Port en Bessin le soir en famille avec nos 3 enfants et le papi de 85 ans tous très heureux de profiter matin et soir du spectacle des allers et venues des bateaux de pêche depuis la fenêtre ! C'etait parfait!

Lovely home in Port en Bissen
We booked this lovely well equipped home in Port en Bisson for 5 days with another couple. It has 3 bedrooms and 3 full baths. The location is very convenient to the D Day Beaches and museums. There are many local restaurants and shops within a short walking distance. A wonderful bakery is steps away. There is a view of the busy fishing port right outside your front window and a peaceful sitting nook off the very well supplied kitchen. A private garage is helpful if street parking is full. We highly recommend this VRBO. Thank you Regine

A sweet spot in Normandie
This is a second time we have stayed in this beautiful home in the seaside village. The house has everything you need and is very clean and cozy. The host, Regine, is a lovely woman and make sure that you are comfortable. Beautiful location, beautiful home, highly recommend it.

Lovely port - great location
We visited the area to see the local D-Day sites. The house was in a great location for this - a short drive to get to most places. The house itself was a real home from home - spacious and comfortable. Some juice and biscuits on arrival were very welcome. Lots of kitchen utensils and bathroom towels were provided. There is a garage - but we didnt need to use it as there were free spaces to park opposite the house. On a Sunday there is a French market right outside (from 7am) so you need to move the car to a nearby road/ car park the night before - this wasn't a problem but is worth knowing. The port itself is beautiful .... a real working fishing port - we loved watching the boats go out every evening and return in the morning. The atmosphere around the area is relaxed - there is a small supermarket within a few minutes walk and cafes and restaurants all around (a number of which close by about 6pm). Quite a few of the retaurants weren't open - but that might be the time if year - as it was quite quiet around. We also enjoyed some lovely sunset walks around the area. If you want a home from home in this area, I recommend this lovely house.

Perfect stay in Normandy
We loved this house in the middle of a picturesque fishing village. The house was immaculate and well equipped with plenty of space for two couples. Situated close to all of the DDay sites, it made our excursions easy to maneuver. Evenings were spent enjoying meals at the many great restaurants in town. The Sunday morning farmers market is on the same street and is filled with a huge variety of vegetables fruits fish and cooked dishes. Unbelievable!

The house is in the perfect location for touring the D day beaches, overlooking the harbour watching the trawlers with a glass of wine perfect! Patisserie a few steps away and a small supermarket around the corner, many eating venues all in walking distance. The house is very clean and extremely well equipped everything you would need, better than pictures show. Regine was very friendly and good communication before and during our stay. Recommended home from home we would gladly return.

The property is exactly as represented and provided a very comfortable stay for us. We were just 3 people, but enjoyed having the extra space and 2+ bathrooms. Market is right around the corner, patisseries nearby and restaurants easy to enjoy. The view from the front windows will remain with me a long time. Plus I took wonderful pictures! The laundry was so helpful and easy to operate. I have already recommended the place to a friend. I hope they find the dates available. I know they will enjoy their visit as I did.

Four night stay
We have recently stayed at this wonderful property. Regine was very helpful and understanding and made our stay perfect. Five of us stayed here and we arrived on three motorbikes, which we were able to keep in a very large garage, plenty of room. The property had everything we needed, so well equipped, and a perfect location for ample restaurants. The landing beaches, memorials, pegasus bridge and Bayeux were all only a short drive away. We would stay again.

Delightful setting
Spotlessly clean…which is very important to us. Excellent position for sightseeing WW2 ….fabulous fish market and Sunday market….good restaurants within walking distance. Felt rather uncomfortable about having to hand over a deposit..not had to do this anywhere else in years but they accepted £s, so made it easier. The hosts were friendly and very good to make the effort to speak English as our French is limited. A nice holiday home …Thankyou.

Absolutely Perfect
This is the best holiday house I've ever stayed in. Apart from the brilliant location it had everything you could possibly need. The view of the harbour is beautiful and there is a garage so parking is not an issue. Our teenagers were happy having their own space upstairs. Régine is utterly charming. I cannot rate this accommodation highly enough :)

Amazing location and property
This is our second time here in this property and we are planning our third stay here! As usual, Régine was helpful and welcoming. The accommodation is clean and well equipped, with amazing views of the harbour. We whiled away many hours watching the boats come in and out. Wir haben eine wunderschöne Woche im Juli in diesem tollen und vollausgestatteten Ferienhaus der Familie Degoulet verbracht. Das Haus ist sehr sauber und sehr liebevoll eingerichtet. Auch wenn man mit Kinder verreist, kann man in diesem Ferienhaus eine tolle Zeit verbringen, da selbst für die Kleinsten Spielsachen etc. zur Verfügung stehen. Unsere Tochter (7 Jahre) war begeistert, vor allem von dem Kickertisch in der Garage, in der man praktischerweise sein Auto abstellen kann. Die direkte Lage am Fischereihafen ist echt ein Traum. Was man für den täglichen Bedarf benötigt, ist alles fußläufig zu erreichen. Restaurants und Ausflugsziele sind von Port-en-Bessin aus sehr gut zu erreichen. Nicht zuletzt hat und Familie Degoulet sehr herzlich empfangen und uns hilfreiche Ausflugtipps gegeben. Wir kommen gerne wieder und können das Haus sehr empfehlen. Merci pour le bon séjour Famille Degoulet!

Fantastic place to stay in Normandy
This is a fantastic place to stay for your trip to Normandy. The location is excellent for visiting D-Day beaches as well as getting to the engaging cities of Bayeux and Caen. Port-en-Bessin is an adorable fishing village (boats are right outside the front door) with easy access into and out of town (only caveat: be mindful of traffic associated with the Sunday market) and several good restaurants. Also, 2 nearby boulangeries (bread bakeries) for that all-important morning croissant. The property is fabulous: an entire house with 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, and a fully equipped kitchen. Regine, the owner, keeps the house in immaculate condition. She is easy to work with, even meeting us when we arrived and when we departed. All in all, it was a pleasure to stay here -- a 5-star experience.

Perfect place for D Day excursions
This house was perfect for our vacation. It was my dad and my 12-year-old son. The house itself is in the middle of the most charming fishing village and in the center of many historical places. The house is clean and has all the amenities you could ask for. It is also a close walk to a grocery store and down to the beach. The owners are lovely people and I highly recommend this perfect home for your Normandy trip!

Jackpot! Das beste Ferienhaus, das ich jemals gebucht habe!
Wir haben elf Tage in Port-en-Bessin-Huppain verbracht. Und wir wären gerne länger geblieben. Die Lage am Hafen ist einmalig. Obwohl ich anfangs unsicher war, ob nicht ein Haus mit direktem Meerblick besser wäre. Aber die Lage inmitten einer pulsierenden Ortschaft mit Bäcker, Restaurants, Geschäften und Supermarkt direkt vor der Haustür ist unschlagbar. Das Auto hat eine eigene Garage im Haus. Außerdem ist das Haus selbst unglaublich schön und liebevoll eingerichtet. Alles ist sehr (!) sauber, sogar die Garage, die Küche ist perfekt eingerichtet auch für Gäste, die gerne viel und aufwändig kochen. Sogar ein Weber-Elektrogrill ist vorhanden. Die Vermieterin ist bezaubernd. Wir haben jede Minute unseres Urlaubs genossen. Das lag einerseits am Haus, andererseits auch an der Lage. Es gibt in dieser Gegend so viel zu sehen und zu erleben, von Strand über Geschichte bis Kultur. Selbst schlechtes Wetter wäre in diesem Haus gut auszuhalten. Von mir eine klare Empfehlung: Buchen! So lange wie möglich!

Une semaine parfaite
Magnifique maison au calme, très bien entretenue, avec beaucoup d'espace pour que tout le monde puisse passer de bonnes vacances. Nombreux jeux de société pour les enfants, ainsi que des jeux pour la plage. Le garage est un plus non négligeable. Belle terrasse en prime. Face au port pour voir les bateaux, cadre idyllique. Hôtes charmants, agréables et disponibles. Une adresse à garder en tête absolument!

Très accueillante maison dans laquelle il ne manque absolument rien. On se sent bien dans ce lieu si agréablement décoré, offrant une belle vue sur le port et son activité.
