'Er rustig gelegen hotel. 15 minuten van dichtstbijzijnde restaurant en winkel. Zwart zandstrand. Mager standaard ontbijt. Kon wel extra bestellen maar tegen kosten. Eten was best prijzig Kamers waren prima. '

'Alles klopt: prachtig gebouw en tuin gelegen op enkele honderden meters van het strand midden in de jungle; uitstekende service. Echt een tophotel in het topsegment. De weg er naar toe is helaas nog niet gemakkelijk voor de auto en de inzittenden.'

'Good A/C, nice sized room. Appreciated the "larger" mini frudge and coffee maker in the room. Very helpful woth local resources and advice on best travel routes. Got to see a mother howler monkey nursing her baby in the tree just adjacent to the room. Room walls are concrete, so couldn't hear anything from adjacent rooms. Much more serene atmosphere than the hectic pace and crowds in Nosara and Guiones beach areas. Would definitely stay again. Thank you, Louie for wonderful hospitality.'

'We had a great time end of July 2019 at the gilded iguana! Very attentive staff (Loren/ Irene), lovely location in walking distance to the Beach and excellent food!! Rooms are amazing in both design and space and a Pleasure to stay in. For sure we will come Back. '

'The Sunset Shack was fantastic for our family trip to Nosara. The beach is super close, and the town is very cute. We were right in the middle of it all. Monkeys in the mango trees on the property in the morning, and iguanas roaming all day. The food, the staff, and the hotel itself were all 5 stars! We would love to return to Nosara, and would not stay anywhere else. Thank you Sunset Shack!'

'The hotel is well deserved of their michelin star! The staff were AMAZING! We met Miri & Jaime (owners) as well, they were so personable and cool to chat with. They gave so much attention to detail including the rooms. It was so comfortable and so well thought out. Even the hairdryer was giving high end. Breakfast was to die for. Presentation even. This place is better than any other high end hotel including the Four Seasons or Waldorf. We are definitely coming back here :)'

'My family and I stayed in room 7 at Nosara Beach Hotel and the room was clean and nicely decorated, with incredible views of the jungle and the ocean from the balcony. The hotel staff is so kind, welcoming and helpful and if you don’t speak Spanish everyone there is bilingual and speaks excellent English. The grounds were beautiful and well kept, pool was exceptionally clean and so relaxing. We ate breakfast there daily, which was included, and it was all so delicious and the coffee was great....

'This is an excellent experience. All the staff was incredibly helpful, the room was impeccable, the restaurant was delicious, and the amenities were exactly what we needed. We enjoyed the small details—sweet treats in the afternoon, watermelon water, post surf showers. Also shout out to Carlos, our surf instructor, for getting us up on boards immediately, his storytelling, and his unfettered joy.'
