We came to town for a family event and stayed for four nights. The cottage was exactly as we expected based on the pictures and description. It is small but perfect for two person getaway or a small family. The house was very clean and had everything we needed to be comfortable while we were there. Our favorite part was the peacefulness of the location and the backyard patio. There is plenty of outdoor space, which is where we spend most of our time. Collin was a great host, very nice and communicative although we didn't need a thing while we were there. Overall, it was a great experience! Highly recommend!
This was a nice quiet comfortable cabin with lots of wildlife around. there was not many people on the lake. The bed was comfortable, and plenty of kitchen supplies. we enjoyed using the relaxing out door area. Keep in mind for long stays there is not a washer and dryer on site But there is laundry available pretty close by in plainwell.
Everything you need for a relaxing stay; beautiful view, host is 100% accommodating. We rented a boat from Pine Lake Boat Rental and everyone had a blast! Highly recommend
The cottage is exactly as described, the cover over the back deck was nice as it was super hot while we were there. It's small but does have two bedrooms and everything we used worked as it should. The property manager communicated with us about every other day, just asking how our stay was going. We did fish off the dock but didn't catch much...and couldn't really swim for all the weeds and lilies. We really did appreciate items left from previous guests that were unopen, was really nice to have available and a lot of places do a full clean out.
We enjoyed the grill, dock, and hammock most. Our city-girl daughter loved it! Inside was small, but worked out fine for the three of us. Lots of outdoor space and amenities. Host was helpful with questions we had.
The cottage was just what we needed for a 5 day stay. The ability to bring our two dogs was a big plus. We enjoyed the lovely patio and big lawn for games. The only downside is that there are a lot of weeds so unable to swim. If you have a boat, this works out much better.
We had everything we needed and I loved coffee in the morning with the frogs. They were loud.Watching the swans, muskrats and other wild life and the beautiful light was the best.
We were close to the beaches at gun lake and fished at the cottage.
It was exciting to hear loons in lower Michigan.
This little charmer was all it was advertised to be! Well appointed, quiet and on a nice lake for all water sports. It was clean and well appointed with everything we needed for a week's stay. Fishing was fair but we had a great time. Collin was incredibly responsive and made checking in and out a breeze. I highly recommend this little cabin!
My family spent an extra long Labor Day weekend on the property. We made beautiful family memories! The house was clean and the property owner left a generous gift of a s'mores package for us to use at the bonfire. There was something for everyone as far as entertainment. The lake was amazing. We fished, we swam, and we were able to launch our boat and dock it at the property. The lake sometimes hosts a large concert on weekends, and we were able to experience one on Saturday night. It was an absolute terrific time! The property is large and we were able to play cornhole, footbll, and we threw the baseball around. The property also has a large gazebo, so we were protected from the sun while playing boardgames by the lake. The property has it all! The property owner allows dogs and our dog had the time of her life on the lake. Our teen kids are asking to come back next year.
We'll definitely be back.
We loved the property. My husband and I, 10 year old daughter, and 12 year old son had a short 2 day stay at the property in August 2023. The lake is beautiful. My son and I enjoyed the hammock and roasting marshmallows and my husband taught my daughter to fish. She caught about 25-30 little bluegill right off the pier. Perfect for a beginner who is learning to worm their own hook and take the fish off. My son has autism and we were able to keep a close eye on him the whole time. At night we played board games. Beautiful sun rise and sunsets. I saw many birds including heron, woodpeckers, and killdeer. Perfect for the family that wants to be close to nature but doesnt like sleeping in tents or campers. The owners were responsive and the amenitites were well thought out.
My family and I enjoyed staying here very much. We all live fairly close and it was a great way to have family time. We could come and go as needed. Having a place to dock the boat was wonderful and Pine Lake has so much to offer. It was fun watching the wildlife near the dock, frogs, turtles and fish. The view of the lake from the patio was one of our favorite places to drink coffee or enjoy a meal.
Quiet, on the lake fish off the dock. The back deck is big and so enjoyable! If you are looking to disconnect and relax this is your spot. Last thing the hotdaog stand at Coopers boat and motor soooooooooGOOD!
