'Building was somewhat dated, but rooms were clean and everything was in good working order. Staff was friendly. Rooms at the back (waterside) are quiet, but if you want a good night's sleep, stay away from the pub/restaurant next door. In short: good hotel, no complaints.'

'We stayed here on a Car Club weekend with a large party of friends including an annual dinner. Although the staff were helpful and tried their best to provide a good service, there were too few of them; especially on the Sunday evening. Apparently, there were only 5 out of 25 staff that should have been on duty meaning there was no housekeeping (therefore rooms not serviced) and the kitchen, bar and waiting staff were hard pressed to keep up with demand. If you have coeliac disease, I highly recommend staying here, as they were very aware of safety. Everything was in a separate frier, etc. Every staff member I spoke to was so friendly.'
