Gio is very friendly and welcome us during the check in, also giving us some recommendations for restaurant and things to do around Sorrento and Piano. The hotel itself is located very close to the Piano train station, 2 stations away from Sorrento. More quiet compare to Sorrento and so many good restaurants that the local goes to. The room is very clean, spacious, modern looking design. The breakfast is awesome, a lot of variety. Very recommended if you are looking for accommodation around Sorrento

My hotel stay was excellent. I showed up and was shown to my room by Giorgio, who was personable and informative. He checked me into my room and then recommended some delicious places to eat, both in Piano and in Sorrento. I walked to dinner on multiple days. The train is a 3 minute walk, the room was bright and spacious and clean. Oh but the breakfast was fantastic! The best breakfast that I've had in Italy. It was made with love and you could tell. There were options between savory and sweet, or have both if you want! The coffee was delicious, and the lady who cooked also arranges beautiful fresh flowers at the tables. The decor has lovely touches. I felt safe here and even the other guests all had a good vibe. There's a terrace where you could eat if you want, plus there's a market nearby with anything else you may need. 10/10 for me, a solo traveler.

Geslaagde vakantie

Staying at Gioi Hotel for 3 nights was a 10/10 experience! The manager Gio deserves all the praise for running such an amazing property. The rooms were beautiful, spotless, and modern. Everything felt brand new. The amenities were excellent, and every detail was thoughtfully designed to make guests feel comfortable. The hotel is conveniently located close to the train station in Piano di Sorrento, which is much less crowded and touristy than the main areas, making it a perfect place to relax while still being well connected. The complimentary breakfast was wonderful, and the staff provided exceptional service. If you need anything, they are only one phone call away and always ready to help. I have already recommended Gioi Hotel to my friends and family, and I will continue to do so. If you’re planning a trip to the Sorrento area, do yourself a favor and stay here l you won’t be disappointed!

We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Gioi in Sorrento. First of all, it offers excellent value for money. The building is modern, the rooms are spacious, spotlessly clean, and equipped with all the essential amenities, including a fridge, towel heater, safe, and more. The breakfast was another highlight. It was of high quality, with the menu changing every day, which was a pleasant surprise and made each morning a little different. The staff were exceptionally polite, friendly, and helpful. They went above and beyond, not only ensuring we had a comfortable stay but also providing useful recommendations for restaurants, supermarkets, and places to visit around the city. The location is also very convenient. It’s just a 3-minute walk from the train station, making it easy to travel to Sorrento city centre as well as Naples and Pompeii. Overall, we had a fantastic experience and would highly recommend Hotel Gioi to anyone visiting Sorrento.

The rooms were spacious, spotless, and the bed was exceptionally comfortable. Breakfast was delicious, and we loved having coffee and water available 24/7. The location couldn’t be better — just a 5-minute walk to the train station and surrounded by great restaurants. A truly exceptional stay — highly recommended!

The room was amazing and spotless. Comfy bed, large shower with high water pressure and heat, sunroof? window to view the night sky. There is also an outside terrace by the hotel entrance. Gio was also a wonderful and diligent host who was supportive in providing advice for travel and key location; with the hotel located not far from the train station. The buffet had a variety of food, including cakes. I would HIGHLY recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to stay in this area.

The hotel is so pretty, the entrance isn’t that easily noticeable but it’s directly in front of a road where cars drive by but there wasn’t many issues with walking around there. The hotel receptionist is really kind and gives off an L.A. beach club owner vibe lol. He helped us bring our luggage up the staircase including our friends who were not staying at the hotel to just sit indoors until we checked in. We were able to check in early as our room was already ready by 11:30am even tho normal checkin time was 3PM. Our room was super spacious and comfortable. There were a couple of ants initially around the shower area but that was about it. The hotel receptionist was very helpful and gave us a guide to get to sorrento, taking the train, and also let us leave our luggage after our checkout so we could do a little bit of shopping. There was also breakfast included which included a couple of baked goods and coffee and a little bit of hot food. We were here for only 1 night, it was quiet and comfortable as the AC is very good

Highly recommended! From the moment we arrived, the owner Gio was incredibly welcoming and greeted us as if we were guests in his own home. Throughout our stay he was always available to ensure everything was perfect and to share helpful tips about getting around the area. The hotel is thoughtfully maintained with great attention to detail, from excellent air conditioning to strong water pressure. The beds were exceptionally comfortable and the breakfast was both delicious and satisfying. Parking was safe and convenient, which made our trip even easier. During our stay we drove to Positano and also took the train to Pompeii, which is only a short walk from the property. I visited in May 2026 for 3 nights and had a really lovely time. The hotel was clean and quiet, the bed big and comfortable and I had a nice little view into the garden with doors I could open. The breakfast started from 7am, however they were very happy to accommodate me to have it earlier if I wanted. The room also had free water in the fridge and air conditioning. It also felt very secure as you need the room key card in order to get into the hotel as it’s gated from the street. The hotel is in a very good location - about a 5 minute walk from the train station (with trains that can take you to Sorrento for about 3 euros), there’s a supermarket about a 3 minute walk away and the town square is about 5 minutes away. You can also park your car in a very secure space right next to the hotel (you get a key fob to open the gate with). This is at an additional charge. The owner of the hotel, Giorgio, was very kind and helped me get settled. He sent me links to the best restaurants in both Piano as well as Sorrento and Positano. I told him I wanted to eat pizza for dinner and he insisted that I visit Pizzeria 49 - and I’m glad I did. It was the best pizza I’ve had in my life AND it was only a 10 minute walk from the hotel. This really is a great hotel to stay in as it’s not insanely expensive like if you were staying in Sorrento or in the other Amalfi Coast towns and you can also have your car in a safe space whilst you explore the other towns. Overall a great experience 🙌🙌
