When I booked this property the description said it slept 8 and was in a quiet, family friendly area in Old City. The week before we were coming I checked on the reservation and the listing had changed!!!! It now said it only slept 4. I tried contacting the “owner” and went back and forth with no further information. The property management company Luxor’s said I should contact VRBO. After two hours on the phone and sending the same screenshots numerous times they finally said that apparently the apartment was renovated and that it was too close to our check in dates that we couldn’t get a refund. I asked for an air mattress at the least since the property had gone from sleeping eight to sleeping four. They said there would be an air mattress. When we arrived we found it was right next door/above a bar and billiards parlor. It was only 5 pm and already it was so loud and there was a pervasive smell of weed. The elevator did not work so we hiked up the stairs. The stairwells were so dirty and cluttered. Entering the apartment we found there was no air mattress. We could not get the WiFi to work. I messaged the “host” and they responded but then stopped responding before anything got working! We ended up leaving and stayed at a hotel. After explaining our situation Luxora said they would look into getting us a refund but now they’ve ghosted us. It’s been an extremely frustrating runaround!!!
