This was a great place for us to stay for a long weekend - since there was a snow storm and one of us got sick during our stay (unrelated to Roost!), it was especially nice to have so much space to spread out, and to have a kitchen. Would definitely come again. (Just a note that there are many steps to get in, so could be a problem for some people who need to avoid stairs).

Great spot in Rittenhouse
The room at Roost was fabulous. So spacious, the bedroom was quite comfortable, but having it separate from the living/kitchen was really nice, and if I was not alone, would be great with a couple or child. My only ask would be a bit better signage, the address is on the shop next door, and I arrived late so it was a bit confusing on how to get in.

I have been staying at Roost Rittenhouse for years. This time, the apartments seemed in need of refurbishment and the attitude of desk staff seemed negative and unhelpful especially on the final morning.

Nice Surprise...apartment feel
I know the area, but wasn't aware of Roost before. It is an extended stay-style hotel, but it feels more like an apartment. We were drawn to it because it allowed pets. It exceeded our expectations and the room and bathroom were modern and well-appointed. You could stay a while, but we only needed it for the weekend. The extra bonus was LaColombe coffee beans, automatic grinder and brew options.

The apartment and the staff are awesome. Outside windows could use a cleaning. The area is slowly coming along in gentrification but is still rough-ish. Rittenhouse Square is very close and it's a great park, notwithstanding the roughness north of it. There was a *expletive* screaming toddler who ran around THUMP THUMP THUMP THUMP all day and night. The walls are thin between apartments, so we could hear the wiener kid screaming constantly. Woke us up early and kept us up in the evening. Not the hotel's fault, but be aware. Overall, a very good and relaxed experience.

The staff were extraordinarily helpful, professional, and pleasant. Our room was very beautiful - and very quiet, even though we were right in the middle of the city. The only disadvantage worth mentioning is that parking was inconvenient.

Difficult entry steps (not handicapped or suitcase friendly). No on-site parking (nearby garage was $42/day). Friendly desk staff. Noisy A/C. Lots of street noise til 3am through closed windows. Windows were inoperable (painted and blocked in place). Window sills rotted away & some windows had gaps under, letting a few bugs in. Displeasing views. Floors were not level, seemingly sinking in places. Plenty of hot water but took awhile to get hot. Large rainfall shower head provides large coverage area but no spray pressure. Insufficient towels for a week's stay without housekeeping. No laundry detergent provided. Nice gas range. Insufficient dish-ware & cutlery (service for 4). Could have used a microwave-safe coffee mug, an oven mitt, smaller nonstick skillet, a nonstick pot, & some glass canisters for leftovers. Decorated nicely, but getting worn & scuffed up. Cloth sofa (couldn't sanitize). Comfy bed, but no top sheet. Nightstand blocked bedroom door from being opened or closed. Electrical outlets worn out (power adapters fall out). Breaker tripped when running toaster. Unencrypted WiFi; WiFi access code timed out twice prematurely; no hardwired ethernet. Non-smoking facility was great, but smokers on the front steps were not.

Our go-to spot when in Philadelphia
The ROOST is conveniently located near Rittenhouse Square and many of the finest restaurants in the city. The rooms are nicely decorated and cared for, with ample space and all the things one needs. Staff and management are friendly and able to address issues as they arise.

The staff is extremely professional and courteous, and helped us through some initial difficulties. There's a 24-hour CVS on the corner, which is a big plus.

We chose Roost as we were staying a few days and I was interested to try the apartment concept. Generally it was fine, great location and we had everything we needed. Staff were very friendly and helpful when asked. A couple of comments - it was unseasonably cold when we stayed and the unit was freezing. We weren't able to keep the AC/heating on at night because it was so loud and was located right by the bedroom so had to warm the apartment up during the day and then hope for the best. I'm not sure how this would be in winter or the height of summer. There are no curtains, just blinds and lots of windows. Also, you are provided with a dishwasher & tablets, but no dishcloth or dishwashing liquid which means you either have to buy some (which we did) or run a practically empty dishwasher. Washing machine also came without any pods or liquid. Lastly, we had an issue with our TV which required the manager to come and reset it. A few basic instructions in the room would have been helpful as we could have done this ourselves with a bit of guidance.

I really enjoyed my recent stay at Roost. I had to have a place for a little extended time while waiting for my apartment/furniture. Everything is so nice and up to date. Lots of room and amenities are perfect. Shower is amazing. I loved the staff/team and everyone was very friendly and helpful. The neighborhood is perfect for outdoor dining and easy places to stock the kitchen up. One note, is there a few steps from ground floor to lobby/elevator, so plan accordingly for loading and unloading luggage etc. Overall very nice, might be little pricey but worth it for a longer stay. Thanks.

The only way into the building has a lot of steps. We couldn’t get in and out with the stroller. No big deal for us but not cool for people who need ramps. The hotel and Expedia Should be clear about that.
