Located in north-central Thailand, Wat Pha Sorn Kaew sees a number of Thai tourists but is virtually unknown to most foreign travelers. There are two big draws here- the five sitting Buddhas, and the fantastic temple, which is covered in nearly five million mosaic tiles. Perched on an 830 meter high peak, it offers commanding views of its surroundings.
