Top vakantieverblijf

Authentieke sfeervolle en gezellige op afgelegen maar goed bereikbare heuveltop gelegen paardenfokkerij/boerderij. Rustig en temidden van heuvels en vergezichten richting Lucca. Genoeg verrassingen om te ontdekken op 10ha. Ook in de omgeving. Wij voelden ons zeer welkom en thuis. De openhaard in de keuken en pizza oven buiten ....meravigloso! Het vernieuwde en afgesloten zwembad met buitendouche en ligbedden is heerlijk om af te koelen en meer dan groot genoeg. Susan en haar Italiaans/Engelse familie zijn soms aanwezig maar altijd met respect voor privacy en een gastvrijheid zoals je het wenst. Komen graag een keer terug als de moestuin er klaar is en de tuin nog meer in bloei! Thanks for this experience.

Wonderful

We had a fantastic stay in Podere Consani. We stayed in the three bedroom house. It is spacious, it also has three bathrooms which is great and a living room that stayed cool during the (hot) days. The bedrooms have airconditioning. Susan offered great advice and has extensive knowledge of the region. Lucca is very close by but the house and (beautiful!) garden is very quiet. Highly recommended and thank you Susan!

Woning is prachtig, 2 bedden kunnen beter. Schoonmaken kan ook beter. Sommige van ons houden niet van honden, er waren er 10. Susan is erg aardig en helpt waar het kan.

Pescaglia, Podere Consani, May 2022

We found Podere Consani beautifully ‘hidden’ in the Tuscan hills, with luscious green all around. The scenery was great wherever we looked, and the cheerful singing of birds added to the charm. And, yet, this house is really not far (by heart I think no more than 10-15 kilometers) from our beloved city of Lucca. And Pisa, Viareggio beach, or even Firenze are all easy to reach in a day’s trip. But you need not to bother, while all you can wish for and expect from Tuscany is found on that hill. And a supermarket for getting your groceries just right down the hill, if you will. We rented the larger of the two houses on the premises: the one that has several rooms at split levels and a warm and cosy, cottage-style atmosphere. The house was clean and comfortable, the kitchen well-equipped indeed, and every room tastefully decorated, which makes it easy to readily feel at home. And although we were there in springtime, we were lucky with the weather and did enjoy sitting outdoors as well, while sweet labrador dogs sometimes came around to quietly lie with us, as if we had been living on that hill forever. The big outside table was great for having breakfast, lunch or dinner in the shade, or for playing a game with our children. It took us a bit of courage but with a deep breath we even concurred the pool early May. This house, its garden and the surroundings are just great and we can highly recommend it indeed. Thank you, Susan and family, for your friendly hospitality and for sharing Consani with us.

Magnificently located villa in the hills near Lucca.

On our arrival, driving up from San Martino the asphalt road ends en turns to gravel for the last mile, we experienced the serene surrounding, yet so close to Lucca and all the other great places you can go. We had a very warm welcome by Susan presenting us a bottle of superb prosecco. She showed us around and was very willing to answer any question we had or give tips where to go. The villa lies on top of a hill overlooking the surrounding valleys. At night you can see the lights of Lucca, yet it is completely quiet. The house itself is well finished, more than sufficiently equipped and comfortable in every way. The pool and deck are shared with only one other holiday home on the same premisses and are big enough to accommodate all guests without being in each others way. We loved our stay and will hopefully be able to return next year. All in all we stayed for 9 nights.

Uriges und charmantes Landhaus

Wunderschön! Ein liebevoll dekoriertes, sehr schönes Haus mit einem herrlichen Garten, wo man/frau wunderbar abschalten und sich erholen kann. Es eignet sich hervorragend als Ausgangspunkt für Ausflüge nach Lucca, Pisa, Florenz oder in die Garfagnana mit ihren vielen kleinen und historischen Dörfern. Susan ist eine wunderbare, sehr aufmerksame Gastgeberin , die jederzeit mit Rat und Tat zur Seite steht. Leider hatten wir in unserer Oktoberwoche kein Glück mit dem Wetter und es war kalt und hat sehr viel geregnet. Doch da Susan die Heizung angeschmissen und uns ausgiebig mit Holz für den Kamin versorgt hat, wurde es richtig anheimelnd und gemütlich. Das Angebot einen Koch (Fabrizio) für ein Dinner zu buchen, der in der großen Küche nur für die Gäste kocht und serviert sollte man/frau nicht versäumen!!! Wir kommen gerne wieder! Home away from home

It couldn’t have been better. Susan made us feel very welcome and gave us good advice on where to go for tours, the best way to get there and where to park. She was always available, but never intrusive. We almost felt like visiting family members. I would highly recommend this place if you’re looking for a quiet retreat near historic sites.

A Wonderful Place Above Lucca

Wonderful hosts -- very thoughtful and interested in us having an enjoyable vacation -- couldn't have been nicer and helped us greatly to find local attractions of interest. The three charming old stone houses on the property are secluded and very quiet. Also quite spacious and well-equipped. A great place to stay in Tuscany.

Beautiful and peaceful Toscana

This was a bucket list trip to stay in a beautiful farmhouse in Tuscany and Podere Consani did not disappoint! Susan was very friendly and helpful, the property is beautiful and peaceful and Napo the dog is a very friendly host. The road up is pretty steep and winding but worth the views and privacy. Lovely property near Lucca

We had the BEST time on this lovely property near Lucca. We enjoyed the pool, grounds, pets, farm animals and hiking nearby. It is an easy drive into Lucca and our host had great advice on where to park and local businesses. The home was very private, spacious and the en-suite bathrooms were great for our family. Charming interior and beautiful grounds. Highly recommend

Family trip in summer

Podere Consani is one of the most personable VRBO experiences I've had. Susan is a lovely, helpful hostess. We really enjoyed getting to know her family and were grateful for her advice and assistance. She helped us arrange for a chef catered meal, cooking lessons, and gave advice for local trips. She was extremely responsive to any issues with the functioning of the property. I would strongly recommend renting a car to fully enjoying the property's surrounding area - the drive up to the property is a bit hilly, FYI.

Rustic farm in Tuscany

Had a relaxing and memorable stay near Lucca. The hostess and Host, and their family were lovely people and went out of there way to made us feel at home. This is a wonderful little spot to discover this part of Tuscany. I would be happy to go back and enjoy this little piece of paradise.

Tuscany at it´s best - Wunderbare Familienferien

Ein herrlicher Familienurlaub mit einer herzlichen Gastgeberin, Kindern, Hunden, Pferden auf dem Land in einer ursprunglichen Natur. Excellent location

We had a wonderful week (Oct 15.-21.) at Podere Consani! It is a perfect location for relaxing and discovering the landscape and the interesting cities nearby like Lucca, Pisa and Viareggio. Susan ist a wonderful and kind host, she gave us helpful recommendations and it was always a pleasure talking to her. We enjoyed to stay in the house with its characteristic tuscanian furniture and beautiful details. In the middle of October it was still sunny and warm, we always had breakfast outside and loved to walk around the farm with the olive trees, the horses and dogs. We can absolutely recommend the house an enjoyed our stay very much. Christian and Claudia
