'Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Drake Bay Getaway Lodge. Nestled high in the trees with a spectacular view of Drake Bay, we went to sleep with the sound of the pounding surf and the calls of green-eyed tree frogs and awoke every morning to the sounds of Capuchin monkeys and yellow toucans. Do yourself a favor and have dinner at the hotel as often as you can. Chef Lily is a true artiste both in terms of flavour and presentation. 'Magnifique séjour dans un endroit paradisiaque ! Le lieux est extraordinaire avec une forêt verdoyante et des plages superbes. Les repas servis sont littéralement à tomber ! Bravo au chef Eduardo! Le réceptionniste, Josué, est vraiment chalereux et souriant. Il est très à l'écoute et a été d'excellent conseil. Nous avons dormi dans la tente qui n'est pas la plus confortable des chambres, mais nous avons passé un séjour fantastique!'

'This resort provides an authentic "forest" experience while at the same time making sure all one's needs are taken care of. Dining is surprisingly good (my husband is a gourmet chef so he should know) as is the service! We couldn't ask for more but got it thanks to the friendliness of the owners. They are ever present and offer great advice (as well as conversation) for a fulfilling experience. We were sincerely sad to leave and hope to return in the future...'

'Increible'

'Consider this more of a rustic camping-like experience. Cabins have screens, but bugs still come in. Incredible location! Spider monkeys were swinging above our cabin every morning, holwers start up at day break, and capuchins befriended us at the beach. Scarlett macawas everywhere, we saw them constantly, as well as toucans. The beach immediately out front is wavy and rough, but my kids still jumped in the waves daily. The highlight is San Josecito beach, a 17 minute walk along the ocean....
