This super family friendly Heron Marsh unit is located in private gated community of Litchfield by the Sea and is nothing short of amazing! Located just a few steps to the beach, the unit features two bedrooms and two full bathrooms, a washer/dryer, spacious sundeck, wifi, cable, a fully stocked kitchen with granite counter tops, a flat screen TV in the living room, covered parking, and so much more. Guests have use of the Heron Marsh community pool with lots of area for sun bathing, as well as walking paths, tennis and pickleball courts, fishing areas, and of course miles of pristine beach. Litchfield By the Sea also features a Starbucks on site, community dining and spa, and full time 24 security.

I think the layout of the property was really good. The space was perfect for us and our needs. The property was in a good location with easy in and out. The negatives for us were the following:Was not "just steps" away from the pool, was too far to walk, the distance to beach was fine.The furnishings and flooring in the unit were very worn and not clean. Due for updating. The utensils and some of the dishes were not clean. I had to run all through a dishwasher cycle before using them.

Comfort at the beach

The Herron Marsh units are comfortable and modern, with a 5-minute walk to the beach. Great restaurants are only minutes away. The Litchfield resort is a great concept. Downside: there is often noise from heavy equipment right outside your unit (tree trimming, lawn mowing, etc.) starting as early as 8 a.m. We realize this is necessary work but if you like to sleep in, you'll have to deal with it. Also, these are quad-plexes so chances are you'll have someone on either side, and they could be noisy.

Nice location, but property was old, dirty, and poorly maintained. Some dishes were dirty, shower didn’t drain well, beds were uncomfortable, and internet/cable tv didn’t work.

Had the best beach week!! This condo was in a great location. Walking distance to the beach and in a great community! Condo was clean and had just about everything we needed. Certain aspects could have use some updating, but overall great condo!

Vacation Getaway

This was our 1st time in Litchfield area. The development is fabulous. Lots to do within a quick jaunt. Business 17 has so many eateries. The location of our unit was walking distance (5 minutes) of the beach. We had a wonderful time; thanks for the experience.

Perfect accommodation for a beach vacation

Heron Marsh Unit 86 is a 2 bedroom, 2 bath unit within the Litchfield by the Sea complex. It was was perfect for our family of 3. The path to the beach is directly next to this unit and is a 5 minute short walk to the beach. We found board games that made our evenings even more fun. Grocery store is directly across the street from the complex and lots of restaurants are all very close. We had a wonderful week and would rent this unit again!

Overall OK… Maintenance addressed our major issues quickly. Some Items turned in when leaving: Dishwasher doesn’t clean dishes; lights out in oven, foyer lamp, and outside stairwell. Toilets were low to floor.

We enjoyed our stay and had a fantastic time. The beds were a little more firm than we prefer and the dishwasher did not clean the dishes well. When we arrived the silverware in the drawer was dirty.

Functional yet in general disrepair

We stayed at this property for six days. The listing is mostly accurate. However upon arrival we were rather shocked at the general state of disrepair this unit was in. It appears to have not been updated in many many years which can be seen from the pictures. However our main complaint was in the overall neglect of the property. The popcorn ceiling is literally peeling and falling off. The first time we opened the screen door leading to the sundeck it fell off. The glass doors in the master bath shower do not run smoothly on the track. Several lightbulbs are missing throughout the unit. One of the double beds broke while we were there and it was evident it had been repaired in the past but repaired poorly. The exhaust fan In the upstairs bathroom did not work at all. Location to the beach was very good but overall we were very disappointed in this unit and will not stay there again.
