No pool fob, bad communication, dated home

The owner/property mgmt company did not leave a pool fob for us and with two kids or was too much hassle to drive all the way over to the pool near the main entrance. The listing listed the pool and an amenity, and we were unable to use it. Overall the property was dated and on the lower end of furnishings compared to other units in the same complex. The outdoor furniture on the lower level was extremely dirty - it looked like it hadn't been used for years. Unlike other units we've rented in Heron Marsh, there wasn't any lounge furniture on the main deck. Who wants to lay on a chaise lounge and look at cobwebs and bugs under a deck?While the front desk resolved the problem, we did not have any toilet paper, paper towels, dish soap, or bath mats. The beach closet on the lower level was locked so we had to leave all of our stuff sitting out.The outside of the unit was crawling with spiders and other insects - there were nests everywhere. It was obvious there hasn't been any external caretaking of the unit. The outside shower had no water pressure and was essentially useless. Prior to our arrival, I tried to contact Brittain Resorts because we hadn't received any check-in instructions. The woman I spoke to was very rude and said all the information had been sent to me. Eventually I realized the information had been sent over 6 months when I made the original booking. I expected a reminder leading up to our arrival and we did not receive any checkout information either.

I was told there was no sofa bed. Ends up there is, but it has a huge stain on it so it isn’t usable. The decorative shower curtains were dirty as they are right next to toilets. We couldn’t use the bedspread due to it seeming dirty due to stains. The property needs to wash whatever is washable after each party and replace the mattress in the sofa bed. Our daughter has all kinds of bites showing up on her leg. We’re questioning bedbugs. We stopped staying at Litchfield beach and golf resort a few years ago due to lack of cleanliness. We decided to give it another try but not seeing much change. You can update but if you don’t clean well, it will not be good.

Great post-graduation getaway

My son just graduated college and we thought a few days in Pawley’s Island would be fun! We had stayed in Litchfield by the Sea before and loved it. This villa was awesome and everything was perfect. We’ve already recommended to friends and family and look forward to coming back in the near future.

We spent time on the beach, easy walk across the street. Very convenient!! Beautiful grounds for our morning walks!! Villa was perfect! Everything we needed was supplied in the Villa for our comfort!! Restaurants close by were great. Great place to relax and unwind! We will definitely be back and highly recommend Brach Lovers Haven!!!

great location and space

Our two couples found the space perfect for our needs. Nice separate rooms and space, with a lovely common area for us to hang out together. It was a little hard to find, but only because we were coming in at night. Super close to the beautiful beach!

Everything was as advertised but when I went to use the frying pans, both were not clean and I had to wash them before using. Wish that there was instructions on using the TV. Never got them on in either bedroom. I guess I am accustomed to having a list of information in the homes that I have rented in the past.

Cutie little place!

This property is directly across from the beach access. It was very quiet, no other families on either side of us. The Litchfield resort is big and beautiful for morning walks and sight seeing across the marsh. The unit was very clean and the perfect size for 4 adults but would accommodate a few little ones too.
