Play Paros is a somewhat easy walk from the ferry port, if your suitcase isn't too big. It's a flat, bumpy 1/2 mile. The hotel is well located near the town's center, across the street from a small public swimming beach. There was a transportation strike going on in Athens, so the ferries were off schedule, which disrupted our travels also. Caterina at Play Paros was a huge help in reorganizing our lodging so we could stay an extra night until the strike crap was over. FYI--we lost hundreds of dollars because of the transportation strikes that occurred while we were in Greece. In 3 weeks there were 2 strikes causing us to miss reservations and excursions with NO refunds because of short notice. I guess buy travel insurance or expect to lose money in Greece. Anyway, Caterina was great, she personally met us for a late check-in, the room was clean and quiet even though the street is busy.
Location was great. Cons: Our balcony faced a vacant parking lot, the swimming pool is beautiful but unheated, so not warm enough to get into in October. No food/drink options within the hotel.
