Renovated train station on thoroughbred horse farm.

  • Welkom bij Hutchison Station, ons gerenoveerde treindepot uit 1890. Verken de paardenboerderijen, Bourbon Trail en Central KY terwijl je verblijft op onze werkende volbloed paardenboerderij in het hart van het bluegrass.
    Hutchison Station maakte tussen 1890 en 1950 deel uit van het L&N spoorwegsysteem met passagiers- en vrachtdiensten tussen Lexington en Parijs. Het was het centrum van de lokale gemeenschap en omvatte een postkantoor, 2 smederijen, een warenhuis en veehokken.
    Hutchison station is verdeeld in twee appartementen op de begane grond. De "Limerick" (genoemd naar Lisa's evenementpaard) heeft overal hardhouten vloeren, plafonds van 12 inch en is ingericht met lokaal handgemaakt en antiek meubilair. De Limerick heeft twee slaapkamers met eigen badkamer, elk met een kingsize bed. De woonkamer is voorzien van aanrecht voor vier personen plus tafel voor vier personen.
    Hutchison station ligt ongeveer halverwege tussen Lexington en Parijs-
    • 10 minuten naar het centrum van Parijs.
    • 15 minuten naar het Kentucky Horse Park
    • 20 minuten naar het centrum van Lexington.
    John-George en Sadie accepteren onze miniatuur-ezels graag traktaties.

Absolutely beautiful accommodations and property. Loved feeding the donkeys!!! They were soooooo sweet! Close to town yet in the "country". Owners were communicative and very hospitable. LOVED our stay!

We loved our stay and would definitely stay here again. The grounds are beautiful. We enjoyed visiting the horses and donkeys. The house was comfortable and clean. Plus, the hosts are very welcoming and quick to answer questions. They even left a plate of chocolate chip cookies for our arrival.

For years, we have been coming here every April for a reason. The location, the horses and their foals out the front door, the beautiful restoration of the train station make this place a favorite to visit and enjoy.

This place is wonderful! It’s our favorite Vrbo. Watching the horses with their foals from our front door and feeding carrots to the two donkeys. Very comfortable stay.We will be back for our 3rd time in the near future.

Everything was great! We especially enjoyed walking to the barn, petting horses and foals, feeding carrots to the donkeys and sitting outside on beautiful chairs watching the foals run and play!

The photos do not do this property justice! Place was spotless! It is a beautifully renovated space. Well appointed, beds were comfortable. Plenty of blankets and fluffy towels. We appreciated the laundry. The property itself is very peaceful. Our favorite activity was feeding the very gentle donkeys. Communication was excellent and check in was a breeze. Would stay again and highly recommend. You won’t be disappointed. Location is very convenient to the Kentucky Horse Farm, Claiborne Farm and downtown Lexington.

We have stayed here several times and always love it. Steve and Lisa always make sure everything is perfect. It's so relaxing to watch the mares and foals in the paddock across the driveway at this time of year.

We've stayed here many times and it's always lovely. Always love walking the grounds to see the horses and the donkeys. Bring lots of treats for the donkeys - they will yell at you if you don't give them the proper attention.

What a wonderful place to stay!! The owners were *very* nice and quite personable and the property was clean, well stocked, and beautifully decorated. Additionally the beds and furniture were quite comfortable. We were visiting Paris to see some old friends and were able to host them for a lovely dinner (with local steaks on the grill). We also enjoyed visiting with the horses on the farm and "chatting" with the donkeys. We enjoyed the tour at Clairborne Farm as well as shopping for local antiques and artisan products in downtown Paris. Highly recommended!!

We absolutely loved our stay here! Upon our arrival, we met Steve and he was very welcoming. The renovated train station is beautiful and extremely clean and the rooms are very spacious. It was enjoyable going outside to give John George and Sadie some treats. They are both so sweet! We also loved seeing the mares and their foals out in the pasture. I would pick this beautiful country setting over a busy hotel!

Our stay was amazing. Loved being able to walk out the door and feed the donkeys and check out the horses. Beautiful property inside and out, easy location and wonderful hosts. We'll be back!

What a relaxing property! It is located adjacent to a large farm and overlooks one of the pastures. While we were there there were several young foals and young females who visited the area - particularly in the evening. It was very relaxing to sit outside and watch the horses in the field. The property had everything we needed. The kitchen was quite large and well stocked with enough plates, silverware, etc. for four people. The beds were comfortable and the shower had ample hot water. One minor note, it takes several minutes for the water to get hot, but when it did there was plenty. Our host was great and we would definitely recommend staying here, even though its a bit far from Lexington.
