'The room was gorgeous and spotless, which made it such a shame that we didn’t sleep. There was a loud, continuous noise through the night, possibly from a generator, and it kept me awake. I was exhausted the next day. Parking was a little difficult, and the surrounding area felt quite run down. We didn’t see any staff, but that wasn’t a problem for us. The room itself was lovely; unfortunately, the noise really affected our stay.'

'Onpersoonlijke B&B. '

'Way overpriced for what you get. Old reputation may be good but that must be years ago. Noisy room. No cleaning of rooms when you stay longer than 1 night. Old building. The staff tried to do their best but can not help the problems this hotel has.'

'Gelukkig maar één nacht verbleven in dit hotel. Niet gezellig, badkamer ruikt niet fris, oud decor, oud en beschadigd meubilair, flink gat in badkamer deur. Het ziet er niet echt schoon uit. Pluspunten: goede douche, en de bedden en handdoeken waren schoon. Het personeel was vriendelijk. Twee-persoons matras is hard. Eén-persoons bed is ok. Dunne kussens. Full English breakfast is ok. Zag daarnaast niet veel anders dan cereals, cornflakes e.d. In het geheel geen plezierig hotel om in te...

'Clean rooms, great instructions to enter the parking lot, great hot breakfast, hopefull hosts'

'The location is remote, peaceful and lovely. It's an old building and full of character with huge, comfortable rooms. All the staff were helpful. Breakfasts were a little limited, but adequate. We didn't enjoy the one dinner we had, but it was good value. Overall I'd recommend this hotel for its excellent value accommodation and location.'

'Absolutely beautiful place will definitely stay there again'

'Really lovely stay for 3 nights. Gorgeous room and bathroom, great friendly staff and good food. Very good value. Train station right across the road. Would definitely stay again.'

'Everything was perfect to what we wanted'

'The staff were extremely helpful and friendly especially when I couldn't open the key cabinet. Dinner was quite excellent and reasonably priced. Room was larger than expected but TV reception was patchy and screen kept freezing perhaps due to poor Wi-Fi reception. One thing to remember, they do not have allocated parking - whilst there is a large car park behind it is £2 for 2 hours and £6 for a day but keep in mind the gates are shut from10pm to 8am which is unhelpful when you need to leave...

'Leuk hotel, kamer aan de kleine kant, je kan beter iets meer betalen voor een wat ruimere. '

'We hebben hier overnacht naar aanleiding van WCRugby 2015. Een stijlvol hotel, vriendelijk personeel, ruime kamer, goede bedden, netjes en verzorgd, full english breakfast buffet.'

'Superbly hosted by Jen and Howard. If your heading to Brecon look no further! With views of the Beacons second to none.'
