'A nice hotel that just needs a spruce up. Basic room that had ‘old lady perfume smell’ but clean. Friendly staff. Limited bar. Small but adequate breakfast buffet. Looks more like a retirement home than a hotel.'

'Pretty remote. Friendly & helpful staff, Not preferrable if you are in a hurry: processes go relatively slow. Very beautiful site and hotel.'

'Personeel erg behulpzaam en vriendelijk. Ietwat meer uitleg over de grote van de kamers zou een suggestie zijn. Verder prettig hotel en voldoende parkeergelegenheid. '

'This is a gem in the cute little village in Alford. The staff, rooms, bar and restaurant were all great. Highly recommend this hotel.'

'Other guests gave this hotel a 10/10 review so I had high expectations. What a great experience. The room is not your typical business-like hotel room but decorated as a historic room. It was a large room with comfortable chairs and a large bed. The owners were lovely, friendly people and cooked us a great, fresh breakfast in the morning. If you are tired of boring hotels, I recommend you to visit Disblair House '

'Clean, walkable to near businesses, quiet and delicious diner'

'Excellent overall. One minor suggestion is to have a bin in the bathroom to be able to dispose of sanitary products.'

'All together a lovely place to stay with very welcoming hosts. thank you very much.'

'Hotel did not do breakast - thought I had booked bed and breakfast. Turned on the evening to be told they don't do evening meals, member of staff pointed to a microwave and toaster and referenced a shop that was closed to buy stuff. Next evening, a saturday, they were serving evening meals was told they did server evening meals. Whether they only seve meals at the weekend or short staffed I don't know.'

'Clean and comfortable room and great shower. We enjoyed our stay at this property'

'Direct naast het vliegveld is uiteraard prettig'

'Booked a twin and double room. Rooms clean and well appointed with a communal kitchen area for use by guests. Did not use breakfast service as we left in the morning before the hotel staff had arrived. Only small complaint was that the staff were unable to open the connecting door between the 2 rooms which would have made things a lot easier. '

'Very good value for money'
