'We wanted somewhere close to Hillsborough Stadium, and The Queens Ground fit the bill perfectly. Our room above the pub was clean, comfortable, and quiet enough for a good night’s sleep. The pub itself is a proper local’s boozer - warm, welcoming, and full of character, with reasonably priced drinks. The staff were friendly and attentive throughout our stay. Would happily stay again.'

I booked it thru Hotels.com app. It's my new go to app for travel related bookings after the poor treatment I got from Booking.con who refused me a refund on a booking that I couldn't use because the owner has changed the code on the key box and not updated this information on booking.con. I will not be using them again. I can recommend...

'Lovely small quiet hotel in a great area of Sheffield right next to Encliffe Park & walks into the Peak District. Friendly staff & lovely editions to the room, lovely toiletries, water & milk in the fridge & delicious homemade brownies. We got upgraded to a lovely room with a roll top bath. '

'As always, hospitality is defined by the people who provide it. The hotel staff was magnificent in this regard. From the breakfast servers to the front desk, everyone was kind, helpful and wore a smile. A special mention for the cleaning staff who did an excellent job every morning. Breakfast was delicious with options such as eggs Florentine and eggs Benedict, although as a continental European i would have liked to have seen some cheeses at the buffet. 'Prima hotel, voldeed helemaal aan de verwachtingen. Alleen het ontbijt was redelijk, English breakfast was goed, het ontbijt buffet was beperkt en het continental ontbijt was zelfs minimaal. De douche had op beide kamers een te lage waterdruk.'
