This 8-bedroom house at Sonoma Resort in Kissimmee spreads 3,248 square feet over two floors, with five full bathrooms plus a half bath in the pool area, so sixteen guests can get ready in the morning without taking turns. The private pool is fully screened and opens onto a lawn; the covered lanai holds sun loungers and an outdoor dining table, and a few steps away the summer kitchen has a built-in grill, a sink and a beverage fridge for the evenings when nobody wants to get back in the car. Indoors, the kitchen runs on two side-by-side refrigerators and a granite island with bar stools, which is what a group of sixteen needs when breakfast happens in shifts before the parks. The Mario Bros game room takes up a room of its own on the ground floor, and the movie room upstairs covers the hours after the parks, when the children still have energy and the adults do not. Three of the bedrooms are themed for the kids: Harry Potter, Disney Princesses and Mickey.

The streets are quiet and the houses are second homes and vacation rentals, so the atmosphere is residential rather than urban. From here you have direct access to the Orlando theme parks, to golf courses and to the dining and shopping along the Kissimmee corridor.
A car is the practical way to move around: the Orlando parks, the outlets and the supermarkets are all a drive away, and rideshare works throughout the area. Parking is free on the property, on the driveway; vehicles left on the street, on the grass or blocking the sidewalk are subject to towing, and there is no overflow parking, so plan how many cars the group will bring.
