'Hotel is on owner’s property. Very little interaction with them except a few calls. 3 stars is because of the smell of mildew and mold but it may be something they cannot control in a tropical location. However, it is so close to the National Volcano Park. We didn’t waste time driving to get there. Able to arrive early without having to wake up too early.'

'From the moment you walk in, you feel welcomed. The room was great and spacious. It does get cold at night, but there is a portable heater in the room. The staff was literally a text away. I didn't want for anything. John was very pleasant and a joy to talk to. I will definitely put this on my hotels to stay at again.'

'Staying at Volcano Acres was truly one of the most special parts of my Big Island trip. The peaceful pond, adorable animals, and beautiful surroundings made it feel like a little sanctuary. 'What a magical place! The staff was so helpful, ensuring we had everything we need due to the upcoming storm. They even texted us when the volcano was fountaining so we could rush to view it! The kids loved waking up to the sights and sounds of a rainforest. Beautiful location.'

'Der Grund hier zu Übernachten sollte die Nähe zum Nationalpark sein. Dafür ist es gut aber nicht mehr. Fehlende Erfahrung mit internationalen Gästen hinsichtlich der Checkin Anweisungen. Zudem hätte die Unterkunft gepflegter und sauberer sein können. Bsp. Bettlaken mit leichten Flecken und ungepflegter Holzboden am WC (war echt nicht schön) Die Betreiber darauf hingewiesen und mit einem OK von ihnen kommentiert.'

'Beds are so comfortable. Lovely grounds , spa is great with hot tub and sauna that you can reserve for private time. Birds can be noisy but you get used to them and actually look forward to hearing and seeing them around the property. '
