Comfortable 6 bed, self catering villa with pool in tranquil surroundings. This family villa offers a diverse reading collection, many DVDs, gaming and internet for your enjoyment inside. You should have a comfortable night's rest as the villa has a King Size Swedish Duxiana luxury bed in the main bedroom and then two further bedrooms, each with twin Duxiana beds.

The garden is one of the best in Praia D'el Rey in our view as it is both beautifully kept and well loved. As you can see from the photos, the garden is surrounded by fragrant pine trees which add to the sense of tranquillity. The pool is not fenced and therefore the property is unsuitable for infants.

The property offers good walking access to sandy beaches, spa relaxation and an award winning golf course.

The sandy beaches can be accessed besides the Marriott 5 star hotel by walking down steps or if you prefer more direct access there is car parking nearby offering walk on access.

The golf course at Praia D'el Rey has won numerous awards and presents some excellent challenges as well as being a picturesque course. You need to have a handicap to play the course, but we have found that the professional is prepared to sign you off if he can see that you are able to drive well and handle clubs well. In addition, you have access to West Cliffs Golf Links, Royal Obidos and Bom Successo golf courses. If you want to go further afield, the lovely Penha Longa golf course is available near Lisbon.

The Marriott hotel is a short walk away from the property and offers some good deals if you want to put up friends and relatives in a different environment. There are numerous restaurants and pools as well as a great spa area offering multiple relaxing treatments to high standards.

Within 15 minutes of the property, you have great access to Obidos with its ancient walled town as well as beaches at Baleal which offer great surfing opportunities.

Further afield, you are 1 hour from Lisbon with excellent shopping, nightlife and attractions for children and adults alike.

Fantastische accommodatie

Erg mooie accommodatie van alle gemakken voorzien. Gelegen aan de rand van praia D'EI Rey golf & beach resort. Veel privacy. Echt een aanrader en een goede host.

Great stay on a perfect spot

This villa gave us all that we wished for a great week. Staying on a resort and still feeling that you are in the middle of nowhere, the garden and the location of the villa gives you full privacy. The size of the pool is unique for a holiday villa and it being heated was a great extra. If you like there is so much to see within the area,. We visited Sintra which was not too much of a drive and Obidos is lovely. There are four (!!) 18 holes golfcourses in the area and playing on two of them (playa de’l rey and especially West Cliffs) was a real joy. Also the views when running towards Peniche and the lake of Obidos were stunning. Special thanks to Marc who was always very helpful and quick in responding.. Also Ana in Portugal was really nice, she allowed us to check in early and pro actively offered us to check out later (very helpful when you fly out late). All in all a great week in a great house on a great spot!

A perfect villa ideally situated near the coast and to interesting places to visit with its own fabulous gardens and beautiful pool. If needed you have the support of the local estate management staff for any issues that may arise during your stay. It has very much everything you require for a relaxing holiday. Definitely highly recommended.

Ein sehr schönes, gut aufgeteiltes und liebevoll eingerichtetes Haus in sehr ruhiger Lage mit hervorragenden Betten, einem schönen Pool und einem großen Garten. Der Vermieter stellt umfangreiche Ausstattung und jede Menge Information zur Verfügung, und die Service-Agentur ist sehr gut erreichbar. Die Lage passt gut, wenn man viel Ruhe und einen wirklich spektakulären Blick auf den Atlantik schätzt. Wer lieber im Meer badet, Cafés, Einkaufsmöglichkeiten oder kleine Strandrestaurants sucht, muss das Resort verlassen und ein Stück fahren. Gerne wieder für ruhige Auszeiten!

A very nice stay in Praia D'El Rey

The house was very nice, and exactly as advertised. Vast, clean, well equipped, a beautiful swimming pool and an exceptional garden. We really appreciated its proximity to the sea, allowing for walks. The region is very pleasant. A very nice friendly owner and we wish to thank him very much for all the information he gave us before our stay. Bad point : a real estate agent completely absent on site. Fortunately we didn't have any major problems, we only contacted them once and managed to resolve the problem ourselves. This quality of service on site does not meet the requirement of a property of this type and at this rate.

Amazing property for a family holiday!

The house is great, has everything you need for a family ( 2 x kids < 10 plus parents) but is also really peaceful and a wonderful location to get some rest in the sun, when the kids allow! With there being space for 6 would be great for larger families or grandparents joining.

Comfortable villa

We stayed here for a month and had everything we needed for an enjoyable holiday. The villa is very well equipped for a holiday rental, a lot of thought has gone into this to make it so. The beds are comfortable and we had plenty of clean linen and towels. The property manager, Priscila and her team, looked after us very well. The highlight for us was the very quiet and secluded garden which we found very relaxing. The heated pool was a bonus. We would love to return one day.

Hemos pasado una semana sensacional en esta preciosa casa. El contacto con el propietario fue siempre perfecto y no tuvimos que acudir en ayuda del personal que está cerca de la casa. La casa nos encantó, tiene de todo para disfrutar: ping-pong, impresionante piscina calefactada, bicicletas, tablas de surf, juegos...una maravilla!!! La playa cercana para nosotros fue de 10!! Estoy seguro que repetiremos!!

Fabulous holiday house

A welcoming, relaxed holiday house great for the family. The pool was fantastic, a great size and with some accessories available the children (& us!) had many hours enjoying the water. The garden is beautiful, the loungers and swingbed comfortable and perfect for relaxing. We very much appreciated the books, games and table tennis, too. Only negative would be for families with younger children -the master bedroom was a distance away from the two other bedrooms so may not be suitable for all. Also the only local shop was very small and closed on the Sunday and Monday, so we regretted not stopping at a supermarket on our way from the airport. The information provided by the hosts was very useful and detailed, we definitely took on quite a few suggestions. Thank you for a great holiday venue!

Family stay with teenage children

The property is in a great location, has a lovely outdoor space, and is plenty big enough for a family with all the facilities you could need. However, this could be a fantastic property with a little TLC. The property is quite tired and there are a couple of areas which could benefit from a deep clean, the sofas and chairs inside and the outside seat covers for example. When we arrived the property smelt damp inside which took a few days of airing the property to remove the damp smell, which was a shame. The pool has lots of small tiles missing, however it is a great size pool and we paid extra to have it heated which was very nice. Overall we had a good time and the property is nice but as mentioned could be fantastic.

Another relaxing break

We have just finished another wonderful stay at our favourite property in Portugal. It’s great to arrive after our travels to the home away from home along with the beautiful heated pool which which my kids love. The gardens are stunning & wonderful to wake up to the lovely bird song. As always we enjoyed the golf, kids did surfing and we had lovely meals out in our favourite restaurants nearby along with Pizza nights at the pool with our new favourite pizza place - the Funky Donkey. We are already looking forward to next year!!

Wunderschön aber etwas in die Jahre gekommen

Wir waren zum 2. Mal in Praia del Rey und zum ersten Mal in diesem Haus. Das Haus liegt sehr schön, am Rand des Ressorts, angrenzend an eine Art Wald. Das Grundstück ist wunderschön, riesiger Pool, toller Garten, man hat extreme Ruhe. Das Haus als solches ist auch sehr schön. Alles auf einer Ebene, 1 SZ mit Badezimmer quasi im linken Flügel und 2 SZ mit einem Badezimmer im rechten Flügel. Hervorheben muss ich die Qualität der Betten, die sind wirklich toll. Auch toll ist die Extra-Ausstattung des Hauses. Es gibt unzählige Spiele, Bücher, DVDs, eine X-Box, eine Tischtennisplatte, in der Garage sind Fahrräder und so Bodyboards. Also wirklich alles wie beschrieben. Den Punktabzug gibt es dafür, dass aus unserer Sicht einiges renoviert werden müsste. Dennoch haben wir uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Und nochmal vielen Dank an den Vermieter und das Verwalterteam, dass wir am Abreisetag später auschecken durften. Zu Praia del Rey selbst ist zu sagen, dass es extrem weit draussen liegt. Ohne Auto ist man aufgeschmissen. Der nächste ernstzunehmende Supermarkt liegt ca. 30 KM entfernt. Der Strand ist schön zum Spazieren gehen, aber das Meer ist extrem rauh, mit Baden ist da nicht viel, aber dafür hat man ja den Pool. Mein Tipp: Pool beheizen lassen. Ich hatte erst überlegt, ob oder ob nicht und war froh, dass wir es dann doch noch hatten machen lassen. Wir waren zum Golf spielen in Praia und das kann man dort wirklich gut. Mein Lieblingsplatz ist Westcliffs, traumhafte Lage - aber viele Bälle mitnehmen.

Lovely holiday poperty

The property is clean and well equipped. It's in a quiet area and we made a lot of use of the great pool area. There is lots of things for children to do with Xbox, board games, waterboarded etc. The service team in particularly Ana were great when we had any queries. Highly recommended.
