I don’t really like to leave negative or less-than positive reviews, as I think that it might negatively impact a businesses finances, and this is current economic climate, that’s not generally something I want to be a part.
This is the exception to my policy.
First, and I admit that I may have missed it in the small print prior to reserving the room, that they charge a $100 security deposit. In the past, whenever there was a security deposit, it was a pretty good indication of the clientele. Not speaking ill of anyone, but it generally was never a good sign.
Second, our room was terrible. Stains on the sheets and the pillowcase. A hole in the sheet, dirty doors, bathroom that was poorly and improperly cleaned. And my gosh, not sure if it had been dusted. We asked to be moved and the clerk was accommodating and switched us to another room.
Third. Remember my comment about clientele? Well, surprise, surprise—we had the worst neighbor that we could have had. Loud and utterly oblivious to the idea that there could possibly have been anyone else in the building; it was her own private party. Went down to complain (yes, I actually did that) and the clerk came up. The clerk banged on the door and the guest didn’t answer. After some time, the clerk left and what do you know, five minutes later and it was party time again.
Finally, we only stayed one night of our two-night reservation. I let the money go; we just couldn’t do it. Staying here again? Never. Not in this life.
