The Space:

The Pilgrim was designed to offer a genuine return to basics while respecting the environment. Electricity is intentionally limited, but you’ll find everything you need for a comfortable stay: an auxiliary electric heater, a mini fridge, an espresso machine, and a two-burner cooktop.

A modern sanitary building, accessible year-round, is now available for your use. It includes 2 full bathrooms (with showers and toilets) and is shared with the other two cottages on the site: The Hermit and The Enlightened. This addition preserves the chalet’s rustic experience while providing an extra level of comfort, no matter the season. In summer, you can still enjoy the outdoor shower, and for those seeking a fully immersive experience, the original facilities remain available for a complete return to basics. This responsible approach has earned us eco-friendly certification from Les Pages Vertes, an independent recognition highlighting our environmental commitment. 🌿



🚨 Damage Protection – Peace of Mind Included 🚨

To offer you a seamless experience, accidental damage protection is included through a fixed nightly amount.



It replaces the traditional security deposit and covers eligible accidental damages up to USD $50,000 for qualifying stays.* Very few properties offer this level of protection.

- Bedroom on 2nd floor with 2 double beds and mattresses covered with hygienic covers (bring your own bedding).

- In addition, you'll find 2 comfortable 4-inch-thick single sleeping mats.

- For cooking: wood-burning stove, cooktop and outdoor fireplace

- Everything for the fire (wood, paper, matches)

- Rechargeable lanterns and candles for a cosy atmosphere (no lighting fixtures)

- Soap, dishcloths, sponges and toilet paper

- Board games, books and first-aid kit

- 3 pre-filled 20-liter cans of drinking water (no running water in the cottage)

- 2 EV chargers shared with the other chalets.



*** A true return to nature ***

This retreat still offers a complete immersion in the simplicity of the past, with an outdoor dry toilet and a setting disconnected from the modern world. However, you now also have access, if needed, to full sanitary facilities nearby, allowing you to adjust your level of comfort based on your preferences.



While there is no Wi-Fi, good cellular coverage is available. That said, we strongly encourage you to fully embrace the disconnect by placing your phone in the phone box. 😉



This is the ideal place for outdoor lovers, hikers, and families looking for calm and simplicity. Imagine yourself, breathing in the fresh air after a day in the forest, with no TV, no screens, just you and nature.

***** PLEASE NOTE *****

There is no bathroom inside the chalet. However, you’ll have access to a restroom facility located on the lot next to the cabin, which is open year-round and shared with the other two cabins on the property. It includes two full bathrooms (with showers and toilets) for your convenience. Please bring your own towels and biodegradable soap so you can enjoy it 🙂 An outdoor dry toilet remains available near the chalet for those who wish to enjoy the full rustic experience. The outdoor shower (available from June to September) is also still accessible. There's a mini-fridge, but no cooking stove. So you'll have to use the wood-burning stove, the electric griddle (2 rounds) or the outdoor fireplace for your cooking. There are no lighting fixtures, but rechargeable lanterns and candles are provided. The cottage has only 1 bedroom on the mezzanine, with 2 double beds and mattresses covered with hygienic covers: you'll need to bring your own bedding. In addition, you'll find 2 comfortable 4-inch-thick single sleeping mats. All in all, a true old-time rustic experience!



Guest Access:

The chalet is entirely private for your use, while certain outdoor facilities (including the sanitary building, outdoor shower, and 2 EV chargers) are shared with the other chalets on the property.



Other Things to Note:

The house guide as well as instructional messages will be sent to you after booking to simplify the arrival process as much as possible and allow you to properly plan the activities of your stay.
