'Nothing to do in the area but it's an airport hotel so that's hardly surprising. The rest of the experience was excellent as usual, I've stayed there a few times now and it always is. Service is not like some other airport hotels where they know you're in and out so don't care much. Recommended for what it is.'

'A pleasant cottage, but there is no access to back garden as 2 very large dogs were there. They also scratch / jump at the back door (in lounge) in the middle of the night! Front garden not as pretty as picture with some dog mess and dogs watching through gate. Lastly boiler is in bedroom so you can hear when it comes on. '

'Although the hotel is looking "tired", e.g. light fittings hanging off in the bathroom, I felt safe. Just wanted somewhere to sleep for 1 night, therefore ideal'

'Fantastic stay, lovely food and wonderful staff. Perfect location for Beamish, rooms were very comfortable and well appointed. The only down side really was that the room was hot and was unable to reduce the temperature.'

'You most certainly receive value for your pound here! The rooms are immaculate and the rain showers in the washrooms are amazing!! This is our 3rd stay here!'

'Overall everything was good, our only issue was after being there for a few days we noticed the toaster was full of crumbs, obviously not been emptied for quite some time, and the oven tray had not been cleaned after it had been used. We hadn’t met the owner, so decided it was easier just to clean them both before using them. On the hole, everything else was excellent. There was no recycling facilities, which was quite a surprise, and also a slight disappointment. Everything else was above...

'Beautiful Hotel ideally placed for visiting The Sage Centre. Fantastic comfortable room, great clean bathroom, tea and coffee offerings were good. Only downside £23 each for a breakfast is crazy compared to other hotels. So we ate out lol.'

'Wij hadden de ‘river view’ kamer: Een geweldige en ruime kamer met een fantastisch uitzicht op de rivier en een aantal bruggen. Heerlijke bedden! Koffie en thee beschikbaar en koelkast gevuld met drankjes gratis. Ontbijtbuffet heerlijk vers en heel uitgebreid. Hotel in centrum van de stad. Bij een probleem met parkeren werden we uiterst vriendelijk geholpen. Geduldig personeel wat echt probeert mee te denken. '
