It was an experience…..
Common sense was lacking here…. Upon arrival, (we got to the property around 10pm) the party staying in master bedroom went straight to bed. After settling in a bit, I went to take a shower & there wasn’t a towel or washcloth to be found!! For whatever reason, they chose not to use the linen closet in the hall & put all towels in master bathroom! The oven was quite dirty, & after electrical issues with tv fridge and some recepticals (no blown breaker either!) There was no reciprocal cover where fridge was plugged in, not sure if it was a problem before. I looked around for smoke alarms, & the one in main living area wasn’t even there!! There was one down the hall in front of 2 bedrooms. Didn’t check to see if it worked properly. (It was checkout day when I looked for them.) They don’t care enough to set the correct time on the clocks! It was a frustrating experience to say the least. The owner was responsive, but not very pleasant when I brought up issues. (Towels & electric) Stated no one else has had a problem…well, no one else said anything is all!!! I’ve stayed in dozens of vacation rentals & I can honestly say, this experience was the least pleasant unfortunately. Too much time spent troubleshooting issues for a 36 hour stay! Property is functional and views are beautiful though!!! Lots of outdoor space! I did suggest an informative binder. They didn’t have one of those… just a couple magnets on the fridge with check out instructions and Wi-Fi password.
