Strandhotels in Noordelijk centraal Wisconsin

'It was nice to be on the 1st floor in one of your newer/updated rooms. The room was small but cozy, the bathroom was tiny but really a great use of space and nicely updated. The shower needs a good scrub to get rid of mildew. It was nice to have a breakfast but the only 2 hot items were cold, that was disappointing.'

'Very clean, great breakfes and the rate was about average for the Wausau/Merrill WI area.'

'I was satisfied with this hotel and would stay again. The inside was great. The only reason for four stars was that the outside grounds were not very well kept.'

'Friendly staff, good location'

'This is a motel that is far above most I have stayed in. Room is clean, the temperature was set to what I liked before I got there. Most times at other places the room is hot or cold and you have to wait for the catchup time before it would be comfortable. The staff was perfect, new there job, performed it perfectly. I didn't eat breakfast. The pool and hot tub were not in service and new this before I rented. I also wouldn't use the pool or hot tub anyway, wouldn't have had time. The best part...

'The room was clean, bed was comfortable, but there the soap dispenser in the shower was empty, had to use bar of soap on the sink. The hotel in general was good for the price. Pool and hot tub were great until the girls fast pitch softball team took it over which seems to be the norm these days. The kids run wild through out the hotel while the parents are partying in a room. Most times the staff was no where to be found like when the coffee and food run out with a hour left for breakfast, or...

'Clean rooms and friendly helpful staff all a a great price.'

'The gentlemen at the front desk, while checking in, was soooo polite and helpful. He was amazing!'

'The lake view and sunset were great! Nice walk on a great sandy beach. The staff was friendly and helpful and gave us ideas on where to eat!'

'A really magnificent departure from the mid-range, vanilla hotels that we business travelers frequent. You'll experience coolness overload when you stay here. The rooms are very comfortable and well appointed and the communal areas are stunning in a way that fans of Gustav Stickley, Teco, Weller, etc won't easily forget. The breakfast was superb too. The only drawback-It was really hot, and the A/C in this old girl couldn't keep up. Luckily there was a large fan in the room. Walking...

'Truly amazing hosts, Dan and Margaret make you feel so welcome. Their breakfasts are amazing, tarts and apple crisp to augment omelettes and pancakes! They take time to get to know their guests. The surrounding acres are beautiful riverside that you can take advantage of via kayak or canoe. It is adjacent to a YMCA facility so the stay is quiet and serene. Proximate to Rib Mountain park for hiking, or two renowned art museums, including the Leigh Yawkey Woodson "Birds in art" museum, it makes...
